I think you're probably right at the moment. Maybe we will revisit it closer to the start of the new season when our squads may both look a bit different and we may both have budged slightly form our current positions.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
Mate I bought Harrison for £10m as he has the biggest potential of any young scrum half - just a shame he's 3rd choice at Newcastle and I wouldnt lose English players for cash, I've already lost a few too many already.
Would need English players coming my way for those players.

Harrison is a special player mate, amazing talent - so was very surprised when Tigers signed Young as their backup 9. Could potentially look at Benjamin in the deal?
How on earth did you get Ben Smith so cheap! Bargain that one, he's on fire atm.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
Skys Super Rugby coverage hasn't been great this season in truth. I have managed to find a few live streams to watch games so have seen most games.
In all serious Elstadt has the potential to be the best 4 in World rugby in 2-3 years. Totally outplayed Bakkies when the Stormers played the Bulls earlier in the year. Physical, mobile, 6'6" and over 18 stone, but also athletic enough to be a good lineout option. Still only 21 and will just get better and better.

Will be a good battle for shirts in a a few positions. Don't know how the Saffas just keep on producing such good forwards.
Who gets the 4 shirt long term may depend on who they fancy at 5. If Bekker takes over from Matfield, then Elstadt may have advantage as they play together for the Stormers.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
Let me have a think - i'm trying to work out my WC team and whether just to get in the best players remaining or to try and get a few in who will be available during the WC. You've got a cracking WC team btw.
Think mine will be:
1. Stevens
2. Webber
3. Hayman
4. Attwood
5. ???
6. Clark
7. Rees
8. Taylor
9. Simpson
10. Beauxis
11. Tuilagi
12. Eves
13. Lualala
14. Savea
15. Cipriani

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
Not overly interested in losing Young. Thunk he'll get quite a bit of game time at Leicester this season.
Not really looking to change my backline for the WC.
9. Micky Young
10. Dave Walder
11. Tom Biggs
12. Clement Poitrenaud
13. Yannick Jauzion
14. Aurelien Rougerie
15. Isa Nacewa
Quite happy if I can get that team out. Hopefully Isa won't go back to Fiji, and Rougerie won't recover in time...

Ojo for Crane?
Gives you an EQ option at 6/8 as you only really have Robshaw in your back row

Think he has been up there with the top 3 scrum halves this year. magners player of the year too. I do like Ojo he runs great lines and scores alot of tries.

he has good basics but also has that ability to change a game.
i wouldnt put ojo in the england squad, and thats coming from an irish fan. would have him at a similar level to JSD though.

Sorry mate, but no. I have Luke offering £24 million for 36 which I could use to buy a better winger than Ojo in the foreigns, so I'll not make any add to 36 for him.

I'm not overly concerned about getting an English winger Pooly, I have Cueto and Short in my senior squad, and can also play Homer there as another English option.
No worries though mate, but the offers there if you change your mind.

Pooly, Ojo got 2 caps 3 years ago and has not been near the national team since. He is back in the Saxons, with Twelvetrees, there is very little in it in terms of ability. Like I said, no worries, we'll leave it, as it's not a deal that I would look at tweaking at all.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
If you had either Attwood or Davies it would perfect your team, if I lost either than it would have a big impact on my squad. I would need a really big offer to consider selling either of them and in all honesty I dont really want to lose either, so would have to be something special for me to lose one of them.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
I would only trade Attwood for a very, very big player as getting Benjamin and Slater does nothing for my team, whilst getting an English no4 improves your whole squad and english options. I would need someone like Robshaw, but dont think you will do that

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
Just heard from someone close to Wasps that Rees is fully fit for the first time in 3-4 seasons, doctors given him the all clear for him next season. So I'm going to stick with Attwood in the second row, or at least until England name their WC squad!
Sure we will do a deal again one day!!!

Mullan will be my starting loosehead during the WC mate so not selling him.
Yes the opposition were poor yesterday, but against poor opposition you can do no more than put them away comfortably, which we did.
Irrespective of the standard of opposition, 36 showed that he has a very very good pass of both hands and reads a game very well from 12.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
I think half the Championship players that people are buying are just a bit daft to be honest. I guarantee that 90% of them will see no gametime whatsoever for teams in this game.
I bought 3 players for my academy who may come though over the next 3/4 years, but people have been buying 25/26 year olds who will be playing Championship rugby next season.
You get marked down for playing regular AP players in this game, so it's a bit ridiculous in all honesty and something that had I kept running the game I would probably have put a block on in all honesty.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
Pooly, not particularly sure what you think I have done here - but its pretty out of order of accusing me of cheating like you have done. I have absolutely no reason to cheat, no desire to cheat and enjoy the game and speaking with the people about rugby on this game. If you seriously want to keep on accusing me of cheating then I will stop playing the game and make the Saints management post vacant.
I put a bid in for Gulliver ages ago, he was put into my squad as no one else put a bid in for him - he has been there for at least 3-4 days. Any changes in numbers will be due to Tyler Blydendaal going from my academy to my main squad and then back to my academy after I signed Myles Dorrian as a senior player and to ensure I had room in case my bid for Willie Mason was accepted.

Pooly you are out of order mate, I put Gulliver in my squad 3-4 days ago. If I didnt then I would take him out.
The only change I have made recently is bringing in Myles Dorrian, and then putting Tyler Bleyendaal into my academy.
I haven;t cheated, I wouldnt cheat and have no need to cheat. You missed him in my squad, as I missed seeing Phil Burgess in Steven's squad a while back - but you dont see me going round accusing anyone of being a cheat.
Think you are taking this a bit far really and to call someone a cheat in front of everyone will certainly have an impact. If I added him to my squad then I would say it, don;t go round accusing me of being a cheat when I havent been, its not right.
