I could potentially let Attwood go, ut all the others are some of my favourite players.
Would also need to ship off one of my other 10's in the deal - Beauxis, Dorrian interest you at all?

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
thing is that I have George Ford coming through mate, who by next season will be ahead of Flood at Leicester (big statement I know), who will have to play at 12...
And I think people are now starting to see just how good this guy is and I dont really want to go ott for anyone with him coming through. I can get away with Giteau at 10, as then have de Villiers and Tuilagi to playoutside him and think that midfield works very well.
I am tempted, but have other options,w hich is why I want to keep hold of players that I mentioned.

Wasn't sure how you'd rate that one. I'd rather have Jane in the England team, but AAC cover 13 wheras Jane doesn't.

Am sure you don't want to go to. Gray impresses me hugely every game and I think will be England squad post Wc. Developing
More than George although I think George long term is a better prospect. So hard to judge potential. Look at Andy long played England his first season now a journey man back up hooker now at saints I think

Pdj for gray?? Has hore indicated he is going to play on post wc?? I like him he is a real throwback to the 70s type player. Heard him saying he might go back to sheep farming but also has the chance of a super 15 club and agen.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
No interest in Alex gray he looks good but j gray is a peen regular and a Saxon. Only want quality for quality. Have lots of potential in my academy. Gray will start or bench for me so want similar quality

No thanks I dont rate mitchell and prefer Johnstone or could play coonie there apparently he has done well there. He needs
To play lh though as you get more ball there and he can make steals

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
Flood demonstrated yesterday that he doesnt have the game management skills to boss a game properly, that is because he is a 12 playing at 10 - all his attributes suit the 12 shirt because he isnt the one making the big decisions. He plays 10 like he would do if he was a 12, he runs too much, doesnt take control of a situation. He can play exceptionally well, but never consistently. Fords game is all about decision making, but that is because he is an out and out 10 - between 12-24 months and he'll be first choice at Leicester, his improvement game after game is impressing.
Personally I think he is the best young player in world rugby, and is at the right club to bring that talent through - just needs to get his goalkicking % up, as that is the only aspect of his game that has been a tad disappointing so far.
Hartley isnt going anywhere, Attwood might do but would need some very good players coming my way too. Do you haev a list of players you have available?

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
I think Flood can be a tremendous player, look at how he played against France a few seasons ago when we went 30 points up in 40mins, look at how he played against Australia when we won home and away last season.
If he could do that consistently then we'd haev a great fly half, but he can't do it - he should be destroying teams like Georgia on his own, like Cooper, Carter would do. I thought he had a poor game and lacks one aspect of his game that is world class e.g. not wc kicker, not wc defender, not wc attacker etc. He's very good in all those aspects, but we desperately need a new 10 to emerge post WC...

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
should also say though, that Flood will be great for your team - fits straight in, espc as can play 12 as well. Surely Evans is your no1?
Really would like Brussow to be in any deal - also keen Ashley Cooper

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
Anyone see Campo's comments about Quade Cooper this weekend - for the first time ever I couldnt agree more...should have taken Giteau!
"Under pressure, you want people in positions that can control the game and be smart about it. These guys weren't smart at all. People have got to realise that I was a winger, so I was the last man on the line to try things. He's a playmaker so he's getting the ball all the time.
"I don't think he understands the position sometimes, he thinks he can do a lot of things and he's got to realise a number 10 normally is the big go-to man. When you're under pressure you get the ball and kick it down touch like Dan Carter does. On the weekend I was watching and Cooper got the ball and just wanted to try everything himself.
