Dominated everything but the scoreboard and Fitzy played a blinder at 13.

Saw a fair bit but Manning struggled at 10 to really get the back line moving.

They gave away some daft penalties which let us play in there half. Pasq was quality at 9 , service was pretty crisp and bossed the pack well.

I am hoping that Trinder can become the solution to my three season long problem in the 13 shirt.

Sits pretty well with Nonu. I haven't seen the Toulouse game from yesterday, have it SKy+'d to watch, but heard that Trinder, Sharples anmd May all looked pretty good for Glaws.

I didn't realise until I've seen him this season that Trinder has actually got a decent left foot on him as well.

I said he had retired, Driver said he is still playing in one more game for the Baa Baas so is not officially retired until after that game so I could play him until then.

unless driver says I can't play him I will be sticking to drivers original decision of he's available to me until after the Baa Baas game mate.

Wouldnt want to get rid of any of the youngsters or lose any first team players because I'm not after a starting lock, so wouldnt weaken my match day squad at all in a deal.

Worth holding onto I think has potential. Beginning to worry I didn't give Chris York enough time and shouldn't have sold him to you.

Gray for Wallace is fair but not going to do it as I've never really taken to Gray and want to see how Wallace goes. Has something about him which I like.

Gonna stick with Wallace I think mate. Just feel like he will be worth keeping.

What for Drew Mitchell?

I think Wallace was on the bench at the weekend. Think that Wallace and Robshaw could work well as a pairing.

Would be interesting seeing Robshaw and Wood as the flankers in the 6 Nations. Big question would be who to stick at 8 to go with them.

It would have worked well I think. Wood was a positive for Saints on Friday night, showed great pace for the try.

Do you know whats happened to Skinner at Quins? Is he injured or just way down the order atm. Faasavalu works well with Robshaw though they make a decent pairing. Far more to Faasavalu's game than I thought their would be. Watched a lot of him when he was playing League and he seemed a bit limited skills wise.

Id really like to see Waldroum with that pairing, its got everything. I love Croft though but it's hard to fit him in.

Really not a Waldrom fan. He's a decent ball carrier there's no denying that, just would like to see us try to identify a young 8 and let him grow into the role.

Who is there though? York looked like he had the all round game (pace/hands/offloads/control) but he's realistically 3rd choice at Quins. Gray is too raw. There's Morgan at Scarlets but who's he going to choose?

I'm a big fan of Waldroum tbh, think he'd give us good front foot ball and works well with Youngs/Flood.

I agree that there isn't an obvious youngster at the moment, with York, Gray and Wray all way to raw. I think you and I will probably disagree about who we should go with until one of the youngsters steps up, but I would go with Narraway. I think we need to look at having a solid, strong front 5 with a dynamic back row, and I think Robshaw, Wood, Narraway would fit that bill quite well.

Just don't think he's Int class Pete. Waldroum is a better player but the NZ thing gets to me a little. Id prefer to stick with Easter than get Narraway in tbh.

Only thing with Narroway is that I dont quite think he has the ball carrying game to be a top class no8 if he is partnering Robshaw and Wood.

Though I agree with you Pete that I dont think Waldrom is the answer, but in all seriousness who else is around - looking at the AP clubs and there is a real shortness in quality there, Wasps are playing Hart there at the moment!

We need a dynamic player in the mould of Ward-Smith, but who has decent hands. Think we will stick with Easter as we bring a more dynamic player through - only guy who springs to mind is Haskell, and think Wasps will play him there when he returns, but he seems to lack the basics and intelligence to be top class player there. Though thinking a Croft, Wood, Haskell backrow has a little more to it, espc if Robshaw is on the bench!

Yeah, I know we disagree on this one mate. For me when I have seen Narraway in an England shirt (NZ tour a few years back before injuries struck) he has looked a better player than he does for Gloucester.

Would just like to see him given an opportunity, see if he can take it.

I see where you're coming from, I have similar feelings about Parling & Barritt after impressing last summer, esp Barritt.

Pooly, have to admit I've been completely won over by Robshaw for England now, think his leadership would be invaluable and he'd bring a winning mentality to us.

Also getting the impression that Parling is getting better and better - could be a good partner for Lawes, so much better than Deacon.

Wouldnt say the same for Barritt - dont think he's quite got the nous to get to the next level, though to be fair he wouldnt be any worse than current crop - I'd want Farrell to be our 12 - think he'd take a load of Flood's mind and let him play better rugby.

Agree with you Pooly (never thought I'd say that ) - a few years ago I thought he'd just be a very good club player, but last 18 months he has grown in stature in every game. Think the England team lacks leaders and he would be another leader.

Looks like the whole WC was an old boys network, with Leicester favoured heavily.
