West Indies in New Zealand, 2013-14
First topic message reminder :
The West Indies are touring New Zealand to play 3 tests, 5 ODIs and 2 T-20Is.
The 2 captains, Brendon McCullum and Darren Sammy are facing questions regarding their leadership and place in the side. Both teams are struggling for consistency. But hopefully the battle of the 2 sides in the bottom part of the test ladder would produce some exciting cricket.
West Indies are missing Kemar Roach and Chris Gayle with injuries. Sunil Narine has been added to the test squad as Shane Shillingford's bowling action is under scrutiny.

Brilliant hitting from Anderson and Ryder. Great to see Jesse back and back in touch in style.
But what a disgrace this Wes Indies side has become. Utter shambles!!.

Ryders ton was also the 6th fastest so a real treat. They're back on in Nelson now Ryder and Guptil to start - NZ now 2/0. The $100,000 catch with the target shirt on is gaining momentum- wouldnt that make your day- and not one was caught!
I'll be there at the caketin in Wellington to line up for my 100k!

where on earth did this performance from the windies come from?!
Windies batting first posted 363-4 with centuries from Kirk Edwards and Dwayne Bravo!!
NZ AO out for 160 in reply with Nikita Miller taking 4-45

One Kiwi fan will not give a hoot about the humiliating loss. There was a competition running that if you wore an orange shirt in the crowd and caught a six with one hand you got 100K. One hundy for a one handy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyQC4Dongok

The toss. McCullum saw historically the second batting side won their matches here. West Indies proved that history is bunk.

Well played, Windies...in particular, Big Bravo, Kirk, Powell and Miller.

windies batting failed today in the first t20 as NZ strolled to a comfortable win of 81 runs
NZ batted first and made 189-5 with Brendom McCulum top scoring with 60*
Windies never got going and only reached 108-8 from their 20 overs in reply.. with Nathan McCullum taking 4-24
