Broner Maidana
First topic message reminder :
Surprised there hasn't been more chat about this weekend's fight between Broner & Maidana. Watching the All Access show and Broner comes across even worse than he normally does. An odious little twerp. I can't help but think his antics outside the ring will catch up with him eventually.
In the meantime how do we see this fight going. Will Broners skill be too much for Maidana's power? I suspect it will as. Points losses to the likes of Alexander and Khan don't give me a lot of hope for Maidana. Another carefully selected opponent for Broner. He's been calling out Manny and that's a fight I'd definitely like to see.

Glad I stayed up for this. Broner shown up badly.
Broner is far better than that display but he blew it because he's such a tool.
Reminded me of MAB v Hamed. Flash git getting taught a lesson.

broner just proved that you can have all the punches, exceptional hand speed and upper body movement. but you need some foot work too. he doesn't have it

Re: Broner Maidana
Pleased for Maidana but hes a poor BOXER great FIGHTER but the man's style is awful.
At times he was walking towards Broner with his chin in the air and never really took a clean power shot. Terrible footwork from Maidana without power he is just a saloon bar type brawler Broner should have won this.
Respect to Maidana tho whenever I see him fight its always exciting.

Re: Broner Maidana
Broner looked very worried to seriously commit to his shots, with was coming back apart from in the last round where he finally sold out and went for the KO.
But guys, FOTY Contender!! Oh my goodness...
Maidana was terrific and worked his socks off. So pleased for him, if he'd have been with Garcia he would've beaten Khan I reckon. Don't know if it beats Froch Groves mind you.

Wasn't this meant to be an easy night for Broner?
Can't count out a problem solver!
Maidana v Thurman or Khan II or maybe Mathysse are all great fights.
Much respect to Garcia for the work he's done.
Notice how Broner entered with a massive entourage and left with two security guards?

Fantastic news! Broner is P4P the biggest tool in boxing and I'm ecstatic that he's been knocked of his perch.
Didn't see the fight but hearing he walked off after result announced just highlights his class or lack if it!

HA HA HA LMFAO
Glad I stayed up after my night shift to watch the fight before going to bed
Had it 115-110 for Maidana
Could not believe how biased the American commentator/summariser was, suggesting that the fight could be even at one point, he wasn't even close to being even at any point.

I've put a write up on the journal lads.
http://v2journal.com/16/post/2013/12/marcos-maidana-solves-the-problem.html
Broner just couldn't avoid the left hand all night, and they were wide left hands. He needs to go back down in weight, he isn't effective enough at welter.

Re: Broner Maidana
Where do I start!!!?? Hahaha best result ever!!!
The most satisfying bit was Maidana doing the bump back to Broner in the 8th round. Especially after Broner did it in the first round trying to act clever.
What I found unbelievable was the circus act in Broners corner!!
When it showed Robert Garcia between rounds he was screaming barking out orders with Maidana silent just listening.
Go over to Broners corner and he's tellin his trainer to "go f@@k yourself" when he tried to rub his legs haha.
This will cripple Broners ego I reckon. He looked like he was in tears leggin it at the end after the result was announced.
Maidana fought an absolute clinic and more than solved the problem. He made Broner look average and to be honest it was probably one of Maidanas easiest wins

Re: Broner Maidana
Also thought the ref was an absolute joke. How many warnings and times did he allow Broner to push, elbow etc
And when Maidana flicked his head at Broners mouth was that not one of the most cringe worthy sights you have ever seen in ur life. Rolling about the ground haha. Unbelievable . Pure comedy, Broner has been made to look an absolute clown.

Probably explains his lack of post fight Interview. I'm sure he was ready to be humble but couldn't speak. Of maybe he had a hair out of place or something.
To be fair, broner showed some guts in there... But the dive to the floor after complaining about the headbutt after the knock down, was pitiful.

Re: Broner Maidana
The roll about the floor was an excuse to try and have the fight stopped with Maidana DQ'ed. Just shows how bad he was felling it in there.
I am buzzin I swear, it couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke really.
Even when Broner was running back to his dressing room in tears you can see the audience all giving him stick along the way. lol
Broner said before the fight that Chino is a level below him, is one dimensional and will get knocked out.....hahahaha

After all the pre fight crap from AB along with lack of respect, I am soooo pleased to see him getting outpunched, outworked, dropped and outclassed by a guy who wasnt "on his level".

World seems a better place today. The hair comber reaches in to brush broners hair before the results are called, there's a guy who will be looking for new employment.
Maidana was his crude effective self last night, that's the most worrying thing for Broner, his defense was useless.

Re: Broner Maidana
Extremely chuffed for Maidana, he may not have the skillset to be the best but he has one hell of a fighting heart to make up for it! This, like the Ortiz fight during which Maidana was also a clear underdog, testifies for that.
Broner has shown himself up rather awfully. For a guy the right side of 25 he seemed far too fixated on hyping himself when he should have been focusing on how to get hit less. He hasn't fought the names to justify being mentioned in the same breath as Mayweather, who has consistently been fighting the best around for years and years. Maidana wasn't even considered top of the pile before the fight and he's given Broner a lesson.
Nor does outclassing super-featherweights and lightweights justify the assumption that you can step up two divisions with equal success. Broner's head got too sucked into the confines of his own arse for him to recognise the risk of his endeavors and considering his reaction to the decision I'm glad he's been humiliated. The higher you set yourself the longer the fall you risk

Re: Broner Maidana
Did anyone else find it really funny when watching last night? When Broner got buzzed or went down it was like a comedy.
Then his ridiculous corner, it's like they were afraid to criticise him. Broner was mouthin off to them when they tried to talk to him. So disorganized it was a joke .
I dunno there was just real laugh out loud moments when watching Broner get hit and floored

This is the boxing equivalent of Luis suarez tripping over the ball and falling, face first, brutally onto to the end of a Toure strike.

Good boy John, because boxnation is the legal way of watching it, unlike streams, about which I have made the forums position of abundantly clear many times. A position that has not changed I should add.

Nobody claims it was reborn. For what seems like the 3000th time, whether streaming or you tube links are legal is irrelevant. fourmation, who own this website do not want them being posted on here, if we allow it or turn a blind eye they will kick us off. If they do that the forum does not exist. Not sure how hard that is for folk to comprehend.

This is a legal link to the fight on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Ob2XyHY2XuE

So why are there youtube links to fights in the "career in video" section, if it's not allowed?
