Re: India in NZ--trundlers and Yuvraj out
Dhoni acknowledges the fitness of bowlers is an issue.....they have to hit the deck hard.
well then he should roptate them
well then he should roptate them
Dhoni wrote:India's bowlers were unable to bowl South Africa out in the second innings of the first Test despite having 457 runs to defend, and Dhoni acknowledged they required progress on that front. "We have bowlers who can take 20 wickets but still this is one area where we need to improve. I think on the wickets that are helpful we have done well. Outside India, at times, you get wickets where we have to hit the deck hard and that goes [against] what our bowlers actually bowl.
"I am talking about the majority of bowlers, that's one area where we have to still learn. We have seen in the past also, if there's help, then we will get 20 wickets. That's one area where we have to improve a bit. But looking at the of bowlers we have got, definitely it seems they have the potential to take 20 wickets in Test matches."

Re: India in NZ--trundlers and Yuvraj out
Sandeep Warrier is highly rated in Kerala cricket circles, and even some Team India players like Virat Kohli were impressed by the Kerala youngster and that in fact led to his contract with RCB in the IPL. His domestic season this year was good but not as good as the last one, but there certainly is some potential, and more work on his bowling could see him moving up the levels.
As for Sandeep Sharma, he averages 22 with the ball after playing 18 FC games, can swing the new ball even on glass top and is very highly rated by those in the know of things. Perhaps he should already start working on adding more to his bowling other than swing, otherwise he might just struggle with the oldish ball in international cricket like Bhuvneshwar Kumar does. But I'll be very surprised and disappointed if he doesn't make Team India within the next couple of years. Ian Chappell reckoned he was good enough for senior international cricket right after the last U-19 world cup itself.......

sandeep sharma will do well in English conditions....and if he can bowl 12 good overs with the new ball and pluck out 2 wickets... and come back to take the new ball.....he is pulling his weight.
Warrior I agree needs to work a bit more on his finess and conssitency and all round development without losing speed
