Well, nothing on here much for discussion so thought this could begin.
At the moment Westisbest is probably pulling his hair out, whilst Wigan are marching on towards there second FA Cup in a row.

yeah I always hate in when top teams try and cheat against lower division teams. That was a shocking dive today.

Just seen the West Ham score.
Surely Big Sam has to go now. Losing 5-0 whilst seeing only 39% of the ball against lower-league opposition is nothing short of disgraceful.

Re: The FA Cup
i thought he should have gone a couple of weeks ago, but his position is rapidly becoming untenable...if we're going to make a change it has to be now.. so the new manager can come in and bring in a few of his own choice of players, before its too late!

The team wasnt really a team we'll ever see play again, and many of those will never be regulars at Prem level, if Championship level.

I think Malky spent poorly, managed poorly and played awful football at Cardiff.
I would say that theres no point sacking him today if you werent going to sack him after West Brom and Fulham. The Board knew we'd have a youth team out today, so its no shock

Man utd 0-1 Swansea - Wayne Routledge.
West Ham cannot afford to sack Big Sam with his contract. There will be no replacement realistically that being said the other sides around them have all replaced theirs.
Man Utd 1-1 Swansea - Hernandez

,man u got lucky. arsenal had 60% possession compared to uniteds 40% and arsenal had 10 shots compared to united's 4.
united scored a set piece and won, but they didn't deserve it.

Thanks because I was left scratching my head, I was travelling and that was one of the few matches this year I could not watch. I hope that does not end up costing us.

Re: The FA Cup
To be fair stats dont allways tell the whole story.
Man u were all over arsernal first half.
When jones was pushed back to defence and cleverly was brought on because Vidic came of at half time(injury) things changed and Arsenal grew into the game
both teams only had 2 shots on target . I would say in this case(and as everyone knows i am a half closet arsenal fan) Man u deserved the win.

Re: The FA Cup
What about was the redcard by Mike Dean a fair one? I don't know I mean I saw worse fouls in the Chelsea/Arsenal match that he didn't give cards for or gave a yellow. To me it is 50/50 the foul was lunging, it was late, and it was studs up. Mike Dean makes his presence felt again.

Fabio was sent off with a straight red in the 80th minute, it looked to me to be a fair red card though, although maybe a bit harsh.

Re: The FA Cup
We didn't get lucky against Arsenal at all, we had a clear chance and scored, the stats don't tell you that Arsenal didn't create anything all game.
Was one of those challenges Mysti that if it happens to one of your own players you'd be yelling red card, some refs would have given yellow but not a terrible decision. We were dog awful yet again, created very little but with RVP, Carrick and Rooney not playing it was always going to be the way.

Haven't seen the game, disappointed we lost.
Just have to hope to cling on to top 4 spots and maybe get to the league cup final.
Then evaluate things in the summer.

Do remind me what you've actually won at this stage of the season CS because I thought the trophies were handed out in May not January.

If we don't win I couldn't really care less where we finish, unlike some teams we don't see it as an achievement just getting into the champions league. Getting that number one spot is all that matters.

No point in reacting.
Knew it would be tough after fergie and it could well be the end, didn't expect it to be this bad though!

Well you won't win it so
But what a silly comment to say you don' care where you finish if it is not 1st. finishing 2nd will give you more money from the EPL than finishing 17th. Also the champions league money is a massive incentive and also finishing 2nd-4th means you have the opportunity to win the champions league which you wont have if you finish 8th for eg.
Also you don't care where you finish if it is not 1st means you don't care if you finish 20th and get relegated haha

Cl is of ultra importance.
The consequences of not getting in just for one year could put united back 4 years.

Exactly.
We need to qualify for the cl, not that it would be worth celebrating - more of a relief.

Re: The FA Cup
Nobody remembers who comes second, third, fourth, sixth or seventeenth CS so setting a target of champions league qualification is for teams with no aspiration. I see no reason for any Arsenal fan to be smug at the moment when you consider the season is only half way through, if and it's a big huge massive never going to happen if you win the title then try the immature smugness.
Whether it's second or sixth it still isn't first and our main concern isn't money it's success.

exactly missing out on the champions league means missing out on a lot of money. It also means the top players will not choose to go to your club as there is no champions league football available.
Also would rooney and van persie stay at united if they didn't get champions league football?
