Copper Box Card Empty Copper Box Card

Post by hampo17 Mon 10 Feb 2014, 9:24 am

I'm really looking forward to this, it'll be interesting if Fury gets caught clean to see how he reacts. Guys who don't as hard as Abel have hurt him so I want to see if he can keep his guard up for the duration.

We've also got press passes for this event as well, so a big thank you to Frank Warrens people for allowing us the access, Owen will again be attending and doing the write up.

The guy is 29 -7.............I imagine he's come for a payday and a lie down............

Hampo, Owen/Mods etc..............Guys you do a good job especially the pods.........

But can you be careful the site does not become a PR machine for Tyson Fury...........

Free passes? Limousine and after party VIP tickets also thrown in? It really is upper class luxury running a forum nowadays. Wink

If Fury struggles it would be a surprise. If he gets knocked out I'd be laughing my little socks off. Heck, I'd just make do with him getting knocked down.

None of the fights are exactly getting my juices flowing. Saying that I don't have boxnation but I'll still be watching.

Got to love the guys though haven't you............Parading the fact they got free passes from Hearn on here....

So Warren thinks right !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  thumbsup

I told you once Boxers/Promoters are vain people who like to know what's being said......It's all EGO in the sporting/Business world........

Well done for the free passes..........By the way ....  thumbsup

But try to keep the PR down to a minimum guys............

Glad you are being recognised though ..

Our aim is to turn the journal in to a recognised website, this forum is linked to it and as such we aren't going to pick and choose what articles go on there and then get posted here.

We are also not parading the fact we have been given press access, we are acknowledging all the hard work that our writers and staff do to get his noticed.

Is good news the forum is getting exposure, for once will agree with Trussie.

Just hope 'Frank Warren' doesn't become a new addition to the swear filter as a result of this new allegiance with FW.

Really??......Guess the timing of this article and the fact you can't wait to see this event...are coincidental........

Don't become apologists for Hearn and Warren............Because they bestow gifts......Is all I'm saying.....I'm sure you won't !!!

Don't want to see an excellent forum compromised.............and quality posters like yourselves feeling you have to write stuff you don't believe in....Because you feel in debt..

Re-iterate that I'm glad your hard work is being recognised...............

As someone no longer officially affiliated with the site (Cry) I'll throw my hat in and say I'm looking forward to this too.

Don't think Stalker will ever amount to much but still worth a watch, be interested to see what shape Chis turns up in since this is a qualifier for the Fury match-up basically and how he performs, also find Fury an entertaining (if infuriating, no pun intended) watch - expect him to get wobbled, maybe dropped, but end up winning comfortably all the same, probably by stoppage.

Frank Buglioni is pretty useful too and I'm always keen to see how BJS has come on (surprised Trussy isn't also).

Fury weighed in at career high of 19st 8 for this fight, he refused to take his shoes or tracksuit off at the weigh in so obviously we don't know what shape he is in really.

I'm starting to think there could be a lack of motivation after the Haye circus, similar to Chisora following Klitschko pulling out of his fight.

Good news on the free passes.

I remember Ben Dirs being a little favourable to some fighters. Credibility and impartiality is important. Like a good tackle it should be hard but fair.

It's a poor card.

You'd be lucky to land an evens bet by taking all of the favourites in an accumulator -- there isn't one competitive fight.

Can see that extra weight around the midriff of Tyson, although he still doesn't look quite as jiggly as I'd expected for a weight of 274!

Fury's just got the stoppage in the 4th, MM. He put Abbell on the deck four times in all, but was genuinely buzzed and wobbled a little bit twice himself.

Wow never thought he would have been Chris. I don't rate him as many people know, but maybe the lay off has had an effect? Not sure, he isn't that good anyway.

Haye, Chisora and Klitschko beat him.

Sod Haye smashing him, I'd fancy Malignaggi to stop him!

Ok, slight exaggeration but he is so useless it beggars belief. He hasn't got a chin and is shocking defensively. Would fancy an in shape Chisora to stop him. That's if Del Boy isn't swinging to hit chicks in the crowd

By the sounds of it the Fury Chisora fight will be a bit of an anti climax. Fury is just a fat waster and Chisora really should be breezing past the likes of Johnson, who is just a world class spoiler.

59-54 for me at the half way stage.

Johnson gives away too much. Not enough activity.

Chisora bobs under the jab well. He'd be so much better if he had a bit more power.

If Johnson could slim himself down a shade and work on his output, he'd actually be a decent operator. He could easily have been level pegging in this fight, but he constantly shows some good defensive movement and jabbing for a minute or so before just allowing Chisora to get inside, push him back and work him over.

There's not actually that much quality from Chisora, but it's better than the naff all coming from Johnson.

Chisora wins rd 7 sheerly on the fact that he's the only one doing anything. Pretty ineffective forward pressure from Chisora, but it was more than Johnson did.

Agreed. Johnson actually does a lot of classy things. He just doesn't try hard enough.

I gave him rd 8 for the few quality punches he landed, but he really doesn't do himself any favours with his laziness.
