Ireland v France - The 6N decider
First topic message reminder :
With such a strong points advantage if Ireland can just win in Paris then the Championship is there's. Now it's never been a happy hunting ground for Ireland - can they do it?
I think it's there year and I'm going to say yes.

France won the u20 decider 23-13 hence getting their first GS. The game was closer than what the scoreline and it was 13-13 with 10 minutes to go with ireland missing a penalty.

Welcome back Ferris.
Boom! Looked in fantastic shape, bigger and stronger than I've ever seen him. Hopefully he can get an injury free run now until the end of the season but that comeback couldn't have went much better.
A few hours to go now ....Come on Ireland!

France did, though, what I think they do a lot. Wait for a final surge. I hope if it's a close game in Paris, with Ireland holding a slight lead, and France looking out on their feet, that the Irish players are alive to an out-of-the-blue flourish by the French at a time when there could be no come back from Ireland. 80 minutes of absolute and total concentration.

You just worry about the Roman Legions, Portnoy.
If I knew any cricket allusions more complex than the usual 'cricket score' one I'd try to do something smart with them. But I don't so........... well, I do expect Italy to implode at some point in the game and then it's chase, chase, chase by the frisky English.
I do think they'll give us a target to reach for too. Just more tension still added to that final game.

It'll be quadruple entertainment in Rome today for me today, Fly.
England with nothing to lose.
Keeping up with the pts/min ratio.
Thinking of BOD's crash landing.
All spiced with the prospect of Mooro blowing a gasket.
Great appetiser.
Good luck to Ireland
But not too much mind!
I'm hoping for a great day in front of the telly.

Yeah, enjoy the games, Port
But not too much mind!
I'm off to get some chores done before the cricket game that's on first. I hope I'm delirious when this day comes to an end, but I'm realistic enough to know that might not be so. If you get it instead, enjoy the celebrations.

The belly is gurgling lads. Majorly. To the tune of Five featuring Queen. I don't know what that means. I maybe dreamt it. It's been known.
I once had a wonderful dream where I was a military sniper and took out the members of S Club Juniors with one bullet. Sweet bliss. My life goes unfulfilled.

Well I still hope Ireland win, even though it means we don't get the championship. At least there is the warm up game to settle down for before the big one

If you irish win fair play...
Not going to support France just for the hell of it..
England winning this or not is immaterial to me. We are on a serious upward curve and have just played the most expansive set of 5 games in a 6 nations for decades..
So lets hope for a classic anyway.

Just back from a spot of golf. I was rubbish. I blame the France v Ireland nerves although I am always rubbish.
Hope it is a classic, mystir, but truth be told I don't really care at the moment. So long as Ireland win. I think we will
maybe
maybe not
maybe
maybe not
I don't know
Just watch the Wales game now to help ready myself for the big game. Hogg has just been red carded.

Re: Ireland v France - The 6N decider
lets just get this straight, ireland need to beat france which theyhave only done once in 42 years in 2000 when His Holiness the BOD scored a hat trick....today he goes to paris to contest the championship in his last game for ireland......i have never heard a better story in rugby i don't think, drooling like a geriatric for this one

Re: Ireland v France - The 6N decider
Cari, that's what I thought as well.
Don't know who to support, normally I will support a "home nation" against any other, but in this case is it difficult.
The big B is looking a real handful BOD has got his work cut out today. Butchered that pass for a run in.
French do look up for it though.
