Aye. Great player, but you question how much longer he can play under that contract. Injuries must take their toll eventually

Feel terrible for Sean Lee. He's a great player to watch, one of the only playmakers on an awful Cowboys D.
Zach Martin probably can't feel great about it either. Hopefully people don't go too hard on the guy.

So that's Glazer and Wilson who've dropped this off season
Shame Wilson never saw his Bills win a title, or a playoff game in a long time. Glazer's had pretty good success

Ahahahahahhahahahahahahaaha
And just like the the 40whiners franchise gets pushed back into mediocrity for another 5-10 years, not just because Squidward is a top 16 QB at a push. Have fun building a competitive roster with no cap room. Shame they can't draft for sh*t either, Harbaugh has done nothing to prove he can build a roster.

Yeah, I think you guys jumped to early. The deal isn't as bad as the headlines sound, the Niners have been pretty shrewd here. Bearing in mind that the cap will be going up and up, I think you ought to be more worried about how much Wilson gets Cherries.

Every deal except Romos "isn't as bad as the headlines sound". Vicks 100m contract had like a 20m roster bonus in its final year he was never going to get. Ultimately, I would've made him play out this season before I gave him that much.

But with a super bowl ready team, is that too risky? They could have pulled a Ravens move and ended up paying more guaranteed money if they won it all.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/06/05/the-full-kaepernick-contract-details/
As one source put it, Kaepernick can feel good about the deal because he has a lot more guaranteed money today than he had yesterday. But the same source also added that the 49ers are nevertheless “thrilled” with the contract, which allows them to control Kaepernick’s rights for seven years and to move on after any of the next six seasons, if they ultimately decide that Kaepernick is more like the guy who struggled at times during the 2013 regular season and less like the guy who found the gas pedal in the playoffs.

Looking at the headline figure I was a bit unsure whether this was the right move, but now reading the detail I think this makes perfect sense.
If he lives up to the contract amount, then we will probably be contending for the Super Bowl in the next 6 years, if not then we are able to cut him with no penalty.
Pretty much sounds like $13m guaranteed .. Dennis Pitta got $16m!

There are some things that are inherently believable. Like, when someone tweets "not the greatest of pics, but here's Manziel enjoying some X games after party festivities in Austin at Rio" and it's a dude floating on an inflatable swan chugging a bottle of liquor, you just believe it because, well, why wouldn't Manziel do that?

I can't see him lasting long, but it's going to be fun while it lasts.

In a bit of fun (and because this http://www.nfl.com/photoessays/0ap2000000356602/world-cupnfl-team-comparisons is a bit pants)
I'd say Argentina are more akin to the Lions. Plenty of stars offensively but never quite come together in crunch time, and a weak defense.
England-Cowboys is spot on.
Portugal are more like the Patriots for me, star QB, lesser supporting cast

Just like Bortles and Bridgewater aren't the starters. They'll all be starting Week 1, IMO. Got to make them work for the job.

Has anybody on here used NFL.com for ordering
I want an Oakland jersey but not McFadden (given the fact he'll be injured by the Wembley game) but on the Nike store on NFL UK shop the only other players aside from McFadden don't play for us anymore.
Also need to know if anybody knows what these pro line jerseys are like, again if you want a player that still plays for us that isn't McFragile or Seabass you have to get a pro line jersey which are the same cost but not made by Nike

I used NFL.com for my Marcel Reece jersey, but you have to use the custom jerseys here:
http://www.nflshop.com/Oakland_Raiders_Jerseys/Nike_Men%E2%80%99s_Oakland_Raiders_Customized_Game_Team_Color_Jersey
You can then pick any player on the roster for your jersey.
You might want to sit tight though, I had an email a few weeks back saying that soon we'll be able to buy and player of any team from the UK/Europe store. Unless that was a beautiful dream.

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread V
On the NFLUK store you can buy custom jerseys but they are the bottom level jersey.
I bought my Cruz limited jersey, premier in reebok jargon, two years ago and it is fantastic. Material is stiil strong. Letters and numbers haven't lost any stitching. Very well made product.
I haven't tried the nike equivilant to the reebok replica but if you have the money a nike limited jersey is well worth.

The Dallas Cowboys traded for a terrible LB, who has twice retired from the NFL because he didn't like Football.
This actually happened.

Rokevious Watkins from the Chiefs has been suspended for four games too. Drug testers handing in their homework just before the holidays by the looks of things.
He says he tested positive for stimulants. Apparently the kind that, according to one OTA report by a Dolphins beat writer, made him look "as if he took an air pump and plugged it into his arms and shoulders this offseason".Olly wrote:Dion Jordon suspended four games

The trade was very friendly towards Dallas, if McLain does not see a certain number of snaps or makes the game day 43 Dallas do not have to give up anything, if he sees the snaps and makes the 43 man roster and Dallas finish with a better record than the ravens they swap 7th rounders.
If he plays every week and is a 3 down LB, Dallas give up a 2016, 6th rounder. His contract is $700kno guarantees, not bad for a 25yr old LB who is a former top 8 pick.

Guys 1. An extremely poor player
2. Retired at least twice by 25
3. Been given numerous chances by good organisations (Ravens in particular) and has failed to even get in shape to do workouts
Yet Dallas have traded for him
There can be no justification for that as GSC said
