Both would be decent enough for me. Woodyard a good depth option at LB

Anyway, speaking of Revis, 8 is again the deadline as he'll cost the Bucs a 3rd rounder if hes still there after. Trade seems unlikely since he won't voluntarily take a paycut.

I can only imagine that Byrd's contract is so backloaded that he's basically guaranteed that he'll be 2016's Darrelle Revis...... if not 2015's!

Seattle have released Clemons
No idea how the Saints are gonna pay Graham as well. They've overpaid for Byrd really, but he makes that already improving defence much much better

The Jets losing Austin Howard is a mistake that can't be overstated. When you have loads of cap space, you re-sign and extend your key players. Howard hasn't been re-signed and we're not going to extend Wilkerson. Sake. I like that Idzik isn't just throwing money at average players. We'll see who we get from the 2nd tier of players (hopefully not Decker).
Good news, we re-signed Nick Folk. This is not sarcasm, he's actually won us games.

Ware gets 10m a year for 3 years, 20m guaranteed in Denver.
I suspect they're another team paying some big bills in a few years.

The Broncos are in a 2-3 year window to win a SB before Peyton retires. Thats why the FA splurge again.

$6m a year is 8th in the league. I certainly think he's worth it and the step down to Breno Giacomini (who is visiting) is a big one IMO.
Also, the Broncos are clearly in a championship window and their front office is splashing out. I like it. It shows a clear goal for the organisation that it's Super Bowl or bust. Similar to the Seahawks when they went all out for Harvin and paid Avril and Bennett. Worked out pretty well for them.

$31m for Golden Tate!! Mad! Decent role player but that's silly money for a guy who isn't much more than a good pro and teammate.

Rodger Saffold failed his physical in Oakland therefore voiding his ridiculous contract. He'll be returning to St Louis on a 5 year deal.
That's a situation only the Raiders could have.

Redskins seem to be adopting a "we can't win next season so let's not try" approach to FA this year. Makes sense.
Eric Decker has signed with the Jets BTW. What's NYJ's thoughts on that? Can he be a number 1? Suppose it's a little like when Garcon joined the Redskins and he's done OK.

My beef with Eric Decker was that he isn't a number 1 receiver and he was sure to be paid like one. However, $36.3m over 5 years is pretty good deal for the Jets. That puts his amongst players like Stevie Johnson, Marques Colston and Mike Williams. That's about right. High end WR2 that won't ever become a true WR1.
We are also looking at James Jones. If we can match Decker up with Jones who is another good supporting WR, Decker will be successful. Leave him on his own and he'll tank. What do Decker and Jones have in common? Red Zone threats. It's nice to see the FO looking at players that fit and not just talent.
Decker and Jones lining up on the outside with Kerley in the slot is a significant improvement. We just need a playmaking TE.
