Re: Glasgow Warriors v Ulster Rugby, 18 April
I have his really strange feeling folks. Excitement.
Yes, I'm excited for a Glasgow win, of course I am, but more than anything I'm excited at the prospect of an absolute humdinger of a rugby match!
Two sides playing absolute balls-to-the-wall attacking rugby, throwing the ball around with gay abandon, making the other teams' supporters green with envy that their over-valued prima-donnas can't hold a candle to this classic match up.
Ulster supporters I just want to say, before the crazy takes over, that you're a delightful bunch and I'm looking forward to meeting you in the final in May.
Here's to a bloody classic tonight!!

Will the Glasgow players be able to survive without getting heat stroke? Was almost 15 degrees today...

What, tonight? I wish. I've been off sick all week. I need an Ulster win to perk me up!
I haven't been to Glasgow since they moved to Scotstoun, I saw a few good games at Hughenden though.

Notch, Stand and assorted Ulster fans (you know; red faces, shouty voices) the banter on here has been more lively and enjoyable than most matches the MFL have played this season. Thanks for your contribution. Usually I rue the fact that I am in exile in sunny Essex, but tonight I am heartily sickened. Should be some game and some good banter in the Scout Hut pre and post match. I suspect Schiz is out without his carer tonight (the needle exchange opens late on Good Fridays) so if you fall over a confused looking elderly gentleman muttering about teams staying in cheap hotels buy him a drink and remind him that his curfew is still in force! Back to the distressed seaman's mission by 10:30 at the latest.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Ulster Rugby, 18 April
Glasgow in control. I can see them coming 2nd if they win this one. Treviso away and Edinburgh and Zebre at home.
Brilliant defence. It has been that strong all season. They are a very solid unit. They believe they can win the PRO12. And why not?
They deserve a home SF at least, imo. Its been coming for 3 years now.
Ulster coming now. This, is their season on the line. Good man Paddy Jackson. 3-6.

Paging Schiz, paging a lost Glasgae child. Wish I was with him.
3-9. Ulster want this more right now.

Again what's with the Irish ref? Surely there were some welsh refs available.
(im not saying he's biased, but this Is meant to be a professional league)

No need to worry folks, just like at the start of the season we're luring Ulster into a false sense of security and then we'll strike late on...

Strange indeed, Glasgow are slowly but surely being reffed out of the pitch.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Ulster Rugby, 18 April
This is something I have wondered for years RDW how can refs from the same country be used, as good as those refs may be and I'm not saying any of them were ever deliberately biased the ref should be from neutral countries they must have enough to cover the matches you would have thought.
Re: Glasgow Warriors v Ulster Rugby, 18 April
So far we have had Ulster not retreat 10 metres while right infront of their posts stopping a possible try. No card. Linesman sees a forearm, no card.

Happens quite a lot in the rabo.
You could say its not as bad to have a ref from Dublin say for an Ulster game, but they are still both the IRFU.

Really poor performance from Ulster so far, massively disappointed by the soft defence. Need to pull the finger out. That initial line break was such a gift. Not acceptable.

It should be neutrals really RDW I agree, the forearm they went and checked for it and could not see anything in it though cake.
Great run at the end and Glasgow lead at the break this should be a tight second half

Great try by Maitland but great pass out of the tackle by Russell as well!
Surviving that 10 mins a man down could be the turning point in this game

I suppose it depends on how certain the linesman was, he was certain enough to stop play. Just because it can't be seem on the replay doesn't mean it shouldn't be given.

What a first 40. I think the Ulstermen are certainly up for it, but they look to be tiring. Couldn't pick out one Glasgow player they are all giving it everything.

Lots of firepower to come off the Glasgow bench in the second half. I reckon we will see Niko at around 60 mins!

There goes Sean Doyle for the same offence as the yellow in the first half well done Lacey consistency is all we want and you have provided it
Re: Glasgow Warriors v Ulster Rugby, 18 April
That was a penalty for sure, not sure it was a yellow.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Ulster Rugby, 18 April
That also seemed harsh by Lacy. Ulster guy had no time to move
Re: Glasgow Warriors v Ulster Rugby, 18 April
It may have been harsh but it was consistent glasgow had the warning in the first half next time they did it player went to the bin. Ulster had the warning at the end of the half next time they did it he went to the bin.
Re: Glasgow Warriors v Ulster Rugby, 18 April
Thats very true mate but when asked are you happy to award it on what you seen or do you want to go to the TMO he said go to the TMO because he wasn't sure so in the end seemed to be the right decisioncakeordeath wrote:neilthom7 wrote:It should be neutrals really RDW I agree, the forearm they went and checked for it and could not see anything in it though cake.
