I can't why Bournemouth have signed Kenwyne Jones,Bournemouth try to play at an high tempo for the full 90,Jones is one of the laziest players I have ever seen, probably why he doesn't last long anywhere.

Indeed - we were in for him, but we have Jerome/Hooper ahead of him so he'd get like 20/25 mins here or there. Much better to go play all games

Well the full-back positions are always a problem for us, with players getting injured or losing form. probably why we've also got Fernando Amorebieta on loan from Fulham, with James Husband going the other way.
We also sent winger Muzzy Carayol on loan to Brighton. Best of luck to him (and them)!

Re: 2014/15 Championship Thread
Why have we let Danny Guthrie go out on loan to Fulham? He s a top class midfielder in this division and we really should have been keeping hold of him because he is one of the best in this division. Having said that, Nathan Ake isn't a bad replacement. Good quality, versatile and has experience at a top club. Same with Nathaniel Chalaboah. Lets just hope that Kwesi Appiah can deliver as well. Not sure of he is cut out for this level especially since being on loan at League Two Cambridge this season, but didn't do any harm in getting a bag full of goals for them. Hope he can do the same here.

For the division and where he is currently playing, he is a top class midfielder in the Championship. Half decent for any clubs near the bottom of the PL though.

He's been ever present for us this season and doesn't do a whole lot wrong. Offers us a decent run around in midfield, like an engine. At the same time, doesn't offer a great deal in terms of goals or assists.

Henderson running beyond the strikers from midfield was an integral part of Liverpools run towards the title, played a big part in their attacking form.

That's what Guthrie DID when we had Adkins. Can't do it as much anymore because Steve Clarke plays 4-4-2 and Guhtrie usually sits and covers a lot of ground if he can.

Of this season? All of the players performed poorly and Clarke has just stopped a sinking ship well and we will move forward next season. Although, I do hope Guthrie stays for the foreseeable future in the summer.

Rohan Ince is class. Liverpool are one of a number of clubs scouting him. Future premiership player for sure.
I'd rather have Him, Stephens, Kayal, Holla, Texeria, Crofts all ahead of Guthrie.
Only players I would happily swap for Guthrie would be JFC and Kemy.

And that's relevant to Danny Guthrie how?
Its not a particularly good or intelligent retort to attack the other person instead of actually addressing the subject matter

Re: 2014/15 Championship Thread
How can there be any argument when the other players are worse? Its called comparison just incase you forgot.
The matter is, people are questioning whether Rohan Ince will be a Premier League player for Liverpool, Danny Guthrie has been a Premier League player for Liverpool, albeit didn't get very far but I doubt Rohan Ince would do any better. Guthrie has also been at Newcastle for a decent spell and joined us when we were in the Premier League so it obviously shows he had Premier League quality.

Because you came up with the comparison instead of actually answering any point as a weak defensive measure.

Really though the underlying point here is that PL clubs can make mistakes and sign bad players.
Or prospects that fail to develop and don't become good players.
Pick one, they both apply to Guthrie.

They don't both apply because Guthrie is a good midfielder and would get into most Championship sides.

I'll tell you something, that Michael Antonio's quite a good player though. What a shame we got rid of him to what was then a League One side Sheff. Wednesday. That's his true quality. Greg Halford is also quite the player. Versatile.

Lol! A little harsh IMO but I see where you're coming from. Not seen a lot of Reach myself, but what I have seen...he's inconsistnet at best. Does some good work and gets crosses in, but he's just as likely to get dispossessed or give the ball away.
Maybe we should have sent him to Juninho's club and brought one of their lads over in a swap deal?

The only times I have seen Reach this season has been on TV. Middlesbrough have been on more than a few occasions and he is very inconsistent. Got potential but if Middlesbrough are to go up this season they need to find a better player than him and maybe loan him back down. I thought Mustapha Carayol was quite the fast and tricky player? What happened to him?
