He is officially in next season but he we prob start planning stuff now.
I'm a huge fan of Kay's an he is the perfect guy to have in imo, SCW has to much of an ego imo.

DeChaves looked fit enough on Saturday during warm ups, though he did not actuially come off the bench.

Was he named on the bench? I thought Croft and Barbieri were numbers 19 & 20?

Croft was pulled morning of the game as wife went into labour. DeChaves was certainly wearing the relevant training shirt.

Toulon will be gutted, they might have to play Delon Armitage or James O'Connor at fullback, what a nightmare for them!

According to a Toulon Fan they are missing
Halfpenny, O'Connor, Giteau are out.
Mermoz and Delon Armitage to rest.
If it is true remains to be seen.

I'd take that. Giteau seems to make then tick. When paired with Wilkinson that back line really ticked. Without both of them they can be targeted in terms of forcing decision making errors especially if Captain Flake is at 10.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2014/15 Thread.
From a Toulon Fan
Halfpenny has an injuried shoulder and had a second commotion test in a month.
Giteau should not be back until february because of his groin injury.
O'Connor has had a scooter accident a month ago and still had a splint at his wrist at training last week.
Habana just came back from South Africa yesterday.
Mermoz and Delon has a lighter training week for resting but finally could start this weekend.
Hayman got back pain since weeks.
Our starting XV could be :
1/ Xavier Chiocci
2/ Guilhem Guirado
3/ Martin Castrogiovanni
4/ Bakkies Botha
5/ Ali Williams
6/ Steffon Armitage
7/ Mamuka Gorgodze
8/ Chris Masoe
9/ Sébastien Tillous-Borde
10/ Nicolas Sanchez
11/ Bryan Habana
12/ Maxime Mermoz
13/ Mathieu Bastareaud
14/ Drew Mitchell
15/ Delon Armitage
I forgot about Sanchez he was very good for Argentina.

Had a works do at the hotel where Toulon are staying, fair few of the players were hanging around in the lobby.
Munipola was there too which was a bit strange, he was with his wife and kid so I guess they were just there to see Castro. Hopefully he isn't thinking about going to Toulon anytime soon

Mulipola is married to Castro's sister so it's a family reunion for them. He's also got a long term deal so Toulon would need to splash the cash.
Rumours were abound that Burns was off to France and due to be replaced by Gopperth in what would have been the most uninspired transfer dealings done by Tigers in years but Burns rubbished it on Twitter.

Yeah that's what i meant when saying that they were there to see Castro. You don't realaise how massive munipola is until you see him in real life.

Yeah he came and watched a game I played in last season (obviously not supporting me but one of the opposition). He looks like a normal man but scaled up, he's huge. Incredibly nice bloke, was happy to have a chat to anybody, very down to earth.

He was looking after his kid, strange seeing a bloke that big looking after a kid that small.

Mulipola had twins.
So that is 2/3rds of our front row in 24 years time.

Dunno Cockers son is a full back. You'd have never thought of his dad as anything but a hooked but I suppose it was being born in France gave Cockers Jr a bit of the Galic flair.

Morning of the game, and first home game of the season I will miss. Handing over my season ticket yesterday was hard to do

Not a bad start, waiting for the first handling error that lets them in for a try

A Welsh half back throwing an intercept pass - well there's a surprise.

It usually is from what I understand. Its just the combo with the England jumpers when he comes on half way through a match..

Tigers look well in this to me. Both Youngs' bothers have done very well.
I don't often bitch about the ref, but Owens and assistants have been poor today. Got quite a lot wrong.
