Is heathcoat really behind McLennan in the pecking order now?
I think McLennan is there to cover the back three and 13, unless you want H-C covering wing??

It wouldn't do much for our financial situation either with the club desperately trying to attract more fans to home games.
Munster is investing hugely in Munster Rugby, so the money situation mustn't be that bad.
As a Rangers fan I can assure you that there is little logic in that conclusion.
If you were looking to equate Munster with a Scottish football club, I'd say Celtic would be closer with regard to spending patterns. Dermot Desmond was born in Cork after all.
Some myth about Scots being careful with their money when you look at Rangers, though!
I think RBS dealt with that myth!
Not comparing anything, merely querying the logic in assuming that just because money is being spent, that the spender has sufficient funds or prospects to do so.

Whats our predictions then? Munster haven't had a great preperation but Thormond hasn't been a happy hunting ground for us.

I would imagine Munster would just about sneak it but I'm not overly confident.
That we might win is partly based on the fact that Edinburgh fans don't seem to be overly impressed with their team either.

Wouldn't say we're not overly impressed - other than centre its not too bad and certainly competitive - but we very rarely win at thomond (if ever?)!

I can remember being at a Munster v Edinburgh match at the old Thomond in I think 2006 when Edinburgh won.

Re: Munster V Edinburgh - GPro 12 Round 1
Well from what I have seen in our preaseason stuff and against Leicester primarily, we actually fronted up and made some tackles.
Who'd have thunk it. Defence was always the missing piece of the Edinburgh puzzle.

Fri 13 Oct 2006 19:30 Munster Rugby 10 - 21 Edinburgh Rugby Thomond Park Stadium 8,000
They used to be Leinster's bogey team until we got a bonus point win over them in the HC in Murrayfield in October 08.
What must be known in Edinburgh as "the good old days"

Thomond Park is too big for these games nowadays. Looks bad on TV.

Good start from Edinburgh - shame it was forwards taking those offloads and not quick backs!

I thought it was forward to be fair
I hope Fife gets the ball in space again soon, looks electric. Munster are not playing well at all.

That 45 degrees rule is ridiculous - it wheeled because the loosehead dominated his side!

I reckon we've got them in the scrum but have given a few penalties away now - maybe need to scrum smarter

Forward pass, but sure thats just another chance to push the Munster pack around. Then they'll go down, the ref will reset five times and then flip a coin!

Stupid stupid stupid - was pretty soft but that was the last thing we needed.
Letter of the law that's a yellow but was definitely the lower end of the scale!

Bit unlucky there, but could also have gone red as well. Zebo certainly looked like he jumped into the tackle. To be fair he made nothing of it, it was the officials call.
