Scarlets vs Ulster
First topic message reminder :
Tough opening fixture at a venue Ulster lost at last year. That was one of our worst performances of the season and I'd be extremely keen for Ulster to bury that and get a win. Scarlets fielded a pretty hardened looking line-up against Gloucester in their final pre-season friendly, so it will not be easy. Any kind of win will do.

Its funny really we have had our first and second choice tighthead as starter and bench for Wales, same with our Hookers, and our bench loosehead has been involved with the national side too. We have a Welsh international lock, and two saffers there too. And a few international backrowers too. Yet people still think we are weak, and that the Ospreys (without any of their decent forwards left) are a fierce pack.

SS, we are obviously weaker in the pack than we were, and you lot are stronger, but please change the bit in brackets as that is definitely not true.ScarletSpiderman wrote:Jenifer McLadyboy wrote:I was laughed at on a podcast the other day for suggesting that the Scarlets had a decent pack these days.

Should the man in question continue as Wales captain? I think perhaps he should.

Good to see Chris Farrell making the bench already for Grenoble. Must be making an impact.

Cheers Hammer have been trying to get the move from where I am now into the sports side of Sky for a while so glad to get it done start it in 3 weeks, going to be a lot of travel back and forth between here and England but well worth it to do something I enjoy.
Hopefully Ulster will help me celebrate today lol

Re: Scarlets vs Ulster
The problems in defense are coming from....as expected...our half backs. Scarlets are hitting the 10-12 channel knowing that Humphreys cannot defend for toffee.

Beautiful by Ulster again and constructed by Olding, love it.
Fitzgibbon trying his best to have it disallowed as usual the idiot.
And gets his wish.

Re: Scarlets vs Ulster
Ah ref no way that second was obstruction the first one wasn't either but sure he wasn't even going to the tackle he was going to the ruck he was well away from Ludik, that's rubish
Re: Scarlets vs Ulster
Incredibly harsh not to award that i must say.

Re: Scarlets vs Ulster
If the Gibbon can't judge crossing and obstruction in open play he should not be running and ruining games for us......aaaaaaagh

Herbst off after 32 mins with Fitzy on. Did he get an injury? if not it's bizarre to start someone to play less than 40 mins
Re: Scarlets vs Ulster
High tackle on Gilroy becomes a knock on by Ulster?

Re: Scarlets vs Ulster
What can we say? Brilliant with the ball and awful, awful, awful without it.
This is disgraceful defence, deserves to be behind but an absolutely disgraceful show from the referee and the TMO gives an unfair gloss on the scoreboard.

Re: Scarlets vs Ulster
I don't know that absolutely idiotic no look pass from Marshall was far from brilliant lol it's also a prime example why Marshall is not trusted to be a starting scrumhalf when we have a choice
Re: Scarlets vs Ulster
I had a feeling it would be like this with the Gibbon on the whistle but we're not helping ourselves with that defence. Mind you it can't be easy defending with 14 men for the whole game

Re: Scarlets vs Ulster
Ridiculous number of missed tackles in this game. It's just so sickening to be more than a score behind because it's three legitimate tries each and we're only getting the benefit of two on the scoreboard.

Re: Scarlets vs Ulster
Far far too many mistakes from Ulster today, you expect a few with the new season but this is ridiculous
Re: Scarlets vs Ulster
That was f*cking moronic from Tuohy. We're going to lose this game entirely due to f*cking brainfarts!
