Re: FA Cup Final Thread - 2014/15 season
It's so devoid of common sense. Oliver has turned his back on him as he gives a decision Di Maria is aggrieved with. My general feeling is if you wouldn't book someone for it on a player then it's really not a booking. It's not threatening or an attack

How did he know who touched him given they were behind him, didnt take much time to think. Assistant also on that side.
Assistant would of told him plus it doesn't take a genius to figure who considering he was directly behind him
Assistant on the wrong side and Rooney was closer to him.
He has basically made a decision on something he couldn't have possibly seen.
We've been crap tonight. Mistakes have cost us but the red has been awful.

There is a foul there, ref, you can't ignore one because of the other! Arghhhhhh this is my problem with the stupid diving debate.
Ramsey should be booked twice there

Agreed, he's had a cracking game. The sending off especially as we saw a ref prepared to stand up to the players
The amount of diving is ludicrous, both Di Marias and Januzaj's were awful
LVG out?

He hasn't thoigh, he has been extremely poor.
Ignore the red card situation and he missed lots of fouls and made mistakes with his cards.

Too many fixated on the red card, think it was a pathetic decision by a very weak referee, moments earlier had given a free kick to Arsenal after a Sanchez dive, Coquelin fouling Fellaini constantly all game, silly little fouls here and there going unpunished, not sending off Bellerin etc.

Pathetic.
Can't win football games if you make poor errors at the bavk and create bugger all goin forward.
Terrible. Was easy for arsenal.

Re: FA Cup Final Thread - 2014/15 season
Think the ref has done a very good job in an incredibly tough match to ref and control.
The Di Maria sending off was absolutely correct. Hopefully the FA will back it up and we may at some stage stop seeing the intimidation of referees which must be a barrier to recruitment.
The only real big call I thought he got wrong was the free-kick on Wellbeck in the first half.
Man Utd only have themselves to blame. Not good enough tonight.

I didn't think he had a good game, regardless of the big decision. There's plenty of mistakes throughout the game, the big one shouldn't cloud it either way

Think what might get lost in this is LVG's poor halftime subs, United were playing well first half and then bizarrely brings on Carrick to play alongside Blind, two guys who want to do the same sort of job, no breaking from midfield, allowed Arsenal to just sit in and screen Rooney out the game second half.
Then didn't get why he didn't bring on Falcao and go two up top

Stupendous refereeing from Oliver, absolutely wonderful stuff under enormous pressure.
And Arsenal win as expected - I put some money on, but didn't want to jinx it!
Oxlade showed beautiful flashes of his potential, as well.

Thats gone WHOOSH right over your head. I'm a United fan, a West Ham United fan. Its like saying Olly is a Man City fan cos he would want Norwich City to win a game.
So, no, I don't think we'll finish top four, but Sam is probably not focusing on that right now!

That was a superb cup tie. De Gea was immense, Rooney's goal was stunning, di Maria and Januzaj with two awful dives. For Arsenal, a solid win, two very good CB performances, and what about that piece of control by Sanchez?
Liverpoo vs Arsenal final in the offing if all goes with league position. I'd quite like to see that.
