Re: FA Cup Final Thread - 2014/15 season
Really poor performance considering it's a semi-final. What the hell was Lovren doing?!
I say it every time but I seriously hope that's the last we see of Balotelli in a Liverpool shirt, Rodgers stupidly gambled with him again and I think he made the team significantly worse in the second half, he puts in barely 50% effort and once again proved his worthlessness as a footballer. I don't care if he's given away for free, I just can't stand him. Somebody else can try and pull this supposed talented footballer hidden deep inside of him.

The one saving grace is not having to sit through hours of Steven Gerrard fawning before the final now.

Do you want to actually make an intelligent point? Or are you just going to WUM? Because the latter is against the site rules.

It's got nothing to do with bitterness, considering you've made the same joke several times, including more than once in this thread, I was giving you the opportunity to prove you were more than just a wind-up merchant and actually make a good point as to why the system was more to blame than the players. It's about generating discussion, this section is at its worst when it tries to be a Twitter clone full of "banter". You're better than that, I can understand why some people on this board choose to do it, but it's just boring.

Kind of like making a wummish comment that there are ten better players than Eden Hazard but not quantifying that comment.

Balotelli did have an equaliser disallowed though which is very unfortunate. I don't like the whole "don't play a striker" system, because then there is no point in having borini, balotelli and lambert in the squad. Origi arrives in the summer too.

Praise the lord! Delph single handedly dominated that midfield today - tore it apart.
Rodgers has properly cocked up this season - those comments about Spurs spending all that money and not finishing top four coming back to haunt him

If Villa can keep playing with the pace and freedom they're playing with currently then theres no reason they cant win it.
Tell you one team who should be chuffed: Burnley. Villa will probably rest players last game of the season, and there will definitely be a few saving themselves mentally and physically on that last day. Well, if Villa have secured safety by then, and I expect they will have.

Congrats to villa and their fans especially westy. This looks like a totally different team from the squad who had so much trouble scoring and even holding possession. For all the stick Sherwood has gotten he seems to be doing things right with villa. Their play seems so much more fluid and benteke seems rivatilzed. Last year hull and Wigan gave us fits so I am not taking a win in the final for granted. But it looks pretty good that the gunners will be favorites. If wenger gets this trophy I believe he will have the most fa cups of any manager and arsenal will have the move ahead of Manu for most cup wins. Credit to villa they have a lot of history and are a great club. They deserve to stay in the prem and be playing for the cup

Playing alot better under Sherwood.
Be an exciting game hoefully on the 30th.
Maybe wrong, but think we are in europe now, providing Arsenal finish in top 3?

Very good point Dolph.
Providing we are safe(hopefully we will be), then you may get the moans from Ramsey, Pearson, Advocat, Bruce.
Cant complain really though.
If we are safe, then the cup game is what its all about.
Finish our season on a high if we can lift the cup.

Just walked it back and I think you're right Olly, more of a disallowed one on one than a disallowed goal.

Yeah Europa league could seriously dent your performance next year in league. I think it probably isn't worth the grief and may actually put you back into fight to stay in the league. If Villa plays like they did against Liverpool, they will be very competitive against the Gunners. I'd like to see Villa build from this and finish top half maybe make a run in one of the domestic cups. I hope they don't sell Benteke either he has been updown last couple of years but I think he is a quality striker.

Arsenal and Aston Villa are braced for disappointment when the allocations for the FA Cup final are announced in the coming days.
Despite both clubs easily selling out in excess of 30,000 for their semi-final wins, the expectation is that the Football Association will again make only 25,000 tickets
available to the two clubs and then distribute the remaining 37,000 to what they call the ‘football family’ and Club Wembley members.

How! Why! What The Hell! It's a cup final, why the hell should there only be 50,000 supporters there who are actually going to watch the game and not eat prawn sandwiches. The football family and club wembley members can do one.

Its shocking the way its done.
Pi55 poor.
Like you said, both clubs could get a few thousand more.
I'll ring up anyway.
Although i will probably have more chance of sleeping with lucy pinder than getting a ticket.

Most people are just bored of you. Equally, you don't understand it so your "proof" wasn't there.
Do you want to know something, I genuinely couldn't care less about any of your comments on me anymore. So, go ahead and say that most are bored, doesn't stop me from posting anything.
"55 mins
There's a steady beat emanating from the stands as the Bayern supporters keep the foot tapping. The odd drum, the odd chant. They're lapping this up."
Taken straight from the BBC page as Bayern are beating Porto 5-0 currently. The odd drum? Hmm, I guess those 80,000 plastic Bayern aren't very good either. The odd chanting, plastic fans. Tapping their feet, ah, I think I understand the word plastic now mate thanks for all of your help. Get a grip and start actually experiencing some atmosphere rather than your bubbles floating around a football ground like an amusement park. I've never felt more embarrassed at a football ground in my life than there. I think the "proof" is all but in that passage from the BBC don't you.
Its to my great apologies that everyone is plastic other than those who get smashed out of their heads and sing for 90 minutes. I guess there aren't many of the "true blue" fans left nowadays are there. Bloody give up for heavens sake, what a joke.

Re: FA Cup Final Thread - 2014/15 season
Bayern Munich are a fairly fake and manufactured club to be honest so it doesn't help your viewpoint in the slightest nor is any opinion substantiated by weak proof. I don't think beating a drum creates any sort of atmosphere, it like the vuvuzela is really quite annoying and adds absolutely nothing. Also picking a situation when a team is winning 5-0 at home is also fairly poor, the fans of any team who take a big lead in a game make more noise.
I personally couldn't give a rats arse either way if Reading FC are plastic or not but your argument is poor. This is your biggest problem, you seem to think every opinion can be proved one way or another and that without proof it's a joke. If you don't like my opinion rather than reply moaning about my disagreement do one of two things; either foe me or reply sensibly.

The FA Cup, the oldest knockout football competition in the world, is set to be rebranded as the Emirates FA Cup in a new £30million sponsorship deal
In a move that will upset traditionalists, the FA are understood to have secured a three-year contract with Emirates Airlines.
The deal, due to be rubber-stamped by the FA board on Thursday, is believed to be worth at least £10million a year — but comes at a cost for lovers of the 144-year-old competition.

Hopefully we can get a good win against Arsenal.
2 bad losses against them in the league, but don't think that will have any baring on this game.
Aside from the first 45 minutes against saints, we have played well under Sherwood.
Confident we can win this, wont be easy, but hopefully will be a good game.
