Galahad is in the wrong division unfortunately.......Fury has decent hand speed but lacks something...
Catterall impressed against stalker but looks Euro level at best...
Haven't seen everyone on the list..............But of the 7/8 I have seen...Wouldn't regard any of them as World beaters.......
but as most are young time is on their side.

I'm not sure Patterson gets past Glenn Foot.
Saunders should pick up a few domestic titles this year. Dickens will win a Lonsdale belt.
Galahad needs a big fight but he may struggle to land a world title shot.
Flanagan could be in line for a WBO title crack should he deal with Scott Cardle (which I think he'll manage) and so I'll go for him.

Galahad for me, but surprised you've left Eubank Jr off the list. Close decision loss against a guy with a shed load more experience and being thrown in the deep end again against Chudinov, have this feeling that once he tightens up a bit he'd beat BJS inside the next 2 years and have the more stellar career out of the two.

Had a dream last night that Anthony Joshua wipes out a big name this year.
Just throwing that one out there.

Eddie Chambers keeps calling him out on Twitter, and trying to tee him up against dope-head Whyte. Would like to see AJ take out both this year.

If AJ doesn't take out White and Chambers (or better) this year then in my bokos he's stood still.

Whyte yes, but Chambers is a level ahead of anything AJ has fought to date.

Re: 12 Brit Climbers For 2015
Chambers has lost to any half decent slob he's faced...........
What's the point ??...
Joshua would knock Adamek out in two now..... so why feast on his leftovers....
The kid is going to needlessly tread water for two years because he's green...........and in two years time after fighting Chambers types.....He's still going to be just as green !!
There aren't any decent trialhorses around anymore...............No Ribalta's , Bugner's Tillis or Broad's.....
Might as well just try his luck now...He's 24 he'd learn more in a loss to Wlad than fighting muppets and winning............and he may just beat Wlad who isn't getting any younger..
Forget Khan - Brook...................Wlad v Joshua at Wembley would probably be as big as Groves- Froch 2......
and I'd give him a helluva chance...............Because I think Bruno would knock Straight-line-Wlad stiff in three or less..

If Wilder can have over 30 fights before challenging for a title, and think it's ok for AJ to 15+.

Re: 12 Brit Climbers For 2015
NOPE!!
My point being there are still fights he can learn off, before picking up a loss for the sake of it against Wlad.
E.g. Kingpin that he's about to fight.
Then there's the likes of TT, Arreloa, Big Daddy and even David Price.
Fights that present risk and challenge.

Wilder hasn't learn't anything in six and a half years...........
Disgrace he's gone from a young 23 to a near 30 year old and done sack all...
Tyson was a pro two years before the title............
Chambers will lie down for a cheque just like everyone else....
What did Frank Bruno learn ????............Joshua is a one dimensional big powerful heavy.......He's Bruno reborn and bigger.....
Chuck him in........

Re: 12 Brit Climbers For 2015
He'll have to risk it sometime.............
Why not as a fit, big, powerful 24 year old............
Why rust for two years........and waste two years of prime..
Won't be a different fighter in two years...Just two years older..
If he had opponents who could teach him anything I'd feel different...
It's slob City..............
0 isn't important in the Heavy division anyway..................Wlad and Vitali don't suffer because they haven't got the 0............

Re: 12 Brit Climbers For 2015
I don't think he has to rust for 2 years, at the rate he's progressing & fighting, start 2016 would be fine.
And arguably Wlad does suffer because of his lack of an 0, his losses are the main thing he's beat up over.
Ironically Vit's arguably benefit him, as one was an injury/retirement so you could say shouldn't count and the other was to an ATG - against whom he performed very well and, some would say, was stopped controversially.

Another year of watching AJ as he is will be incredibly dull and Kevin Johnson offers zero threat too considering he doesn't throw punches.
Get him in the ring with a threat at least. Let him feel the build up to a bigger fight, one he could lose, even if the odds are in his favour (which they will be).

Who can he lose to ??????
He beats the crap out of Fury, Price, Chisora easily now.......
Only tests are Stiverne, Wilder and Wlad......

Kingpin isn't about threat. He's about rounds and learning.
He's a 'dark arts' fighter that AJ can learn a lot off, in terms of how to deal with someone difficult to land clean on, and he'll almost certainly go the distance - important for someone as muscled as AJ when there's serious gassing risk in later rounds.

Let's see how many rounds of learning we get..............
He's nearly 36 and a perennial loser who's lost his last 3....and has no motivation..
He'll take the money and run...........Nothing to gain by taking a beating..

Got to ask Toppy, on what basis can any suggest that Vitali was stopped controversially, if anything he was stopped later than he should have been.

Shocked the whole vit v lewis early stoppage debate didn't kick off from this. My thoughts are Lewis knew what he was doing and played it well, but I can see why the conclusion is unsatisfactory.
As for the list, I like Galahad is quite good but as mentioned, with Rigo, Frampton, and Cruz in your division it's tough for him. Saunders should be guided to a belt this year, good luck to him, but none will be superstars although I think a few will be champions on paper at least.

I should caveat that that's not MY opinion, at all, but I've been around these boards long enough to see it argued a plenty. Vit was winning the fight, Vit was fine to continue, Vit had stood up to Lennox's best shots and was still going strong, Lewis was saved by the stoppage......etc etc.

After the machette attack, Glenn's not the same fighter . He was made to work in his last fight , certainly, far harder than he would have before the horrific injury.

Galahad busted for PEDS. Saunders busted his hand. Etches was busted by Khomitsky. I think Flanagan could come out top here but it's a tough ask against Zepeda.

Kid galahad is an unfortunate pick.........
Maybe we can put him on the 2018 list......
I think Hughie Fury is a more polished boxer than his namesake..........If he had a dig I'd pick him to get to world level...
Unfortunately he hasn't got one..

Thats the last I will say on the matter. I am back to talk boxing.
Apologies to the moderators if I crossed any lines, and apologies to Scott and Derby if I have hijacked your thread.
But just a little bit of respect for Irish nationals living in the North of Ireland is all that is asked for.
Cheers.

Nope, we can hold both or declare one or the other - Good Friday Agreement 1998 - read it if your that interested.
So a majority of nationalists declare as Irish.
Wrong again.

Think your being overly sensitive there, bit like the ones that moan about there not being an English,Scottish etc box to tick on forms.
Anyway, it's a topic for the off topic section (and would probably lead to it shutting down again ) so will leave it there too.
Think Flanagans got the best chance to come into the spotlight but we do seem to have a lot of good youngsters coming through and if promoters would start matching the domestics 50/50ish then we'd have a brilliant scene.
