I am all over the place at the moment super, people seem to take the spot i save in my diary for eating, as a prime spot to talk b0ll0cks in a meeting room.

I stick private appointment down in my diary for lunchtimes. I'm trying to give off the impression that I'm off for a w@nk in the toilets.

I think people have cottoned on to me doing that, maybe if I just sit at my desk and crack one off, then people will leave me alone.

I've worked for a fair share of seriously alcoholic bosses. Always felt squirmish after watching them dip their crackers early on a Friday evening with a glass or bottle in their other hand. I'd make sure I went for something else... like a pristine plate of corn chips and another type of dip.

As for Rick's tribute act, quite apart from the fact that Lamb of God are cack, bear in mind that Pantera's Darrell was shot dead on stage whilst performing with his new band Damageplan and the lead singer of Lamb of God was arrested and jailed (subsequently found NOT GUILTY) for manslaughter in Europe after he threw a fan off-stage, the kid landed on his head and died from his injuries.

You may get more than just a bunch of moderately talented teenagers playing barely recognizable versions of songs that really aren't that good or memorable...whilst swearing a lot and the lead singer believing that he's actually the bloke he's doing a pi$$ poor impression of.

Once sat through a Metallica tribute act and the lad "playing" James Hetfield had all the moves and the cool stance but at one stage it sounded like the band were playing a Metallica song but not the same one at the same time.

Best thing was the local kidz who all wore Metallica shirts and started off carrying on like it was the actual band who'd decided to play some sh!thole in Bradford and then about 20 minutes into the gig started drifting towards the bar muttering about how they'd wasted a fiver. My absolute favourite was the lad who was so up for at the start and then ended up taking his metallica t-shirt off and turning inside out so no-one would think he'd come to watch this bag of balls.

Lamb of God are like a slightly better (or worse) version of DevilDriver. Couldn't hum along to a single one of LoG's songs as they're remarkably unmemorable but as I said, da kidz like 'em and as I'm 43 my opinion on what constitutes a decent metal band stopped being relevant 20 odd years ago!
