Well, that goes to show what an idiot you are, you've said on here many, many times how you've been to support the Cardiff Blues, so going to PAY to watch a team I DON'T support is something I or any sane person wouldn't do.Cardiff Dave wrote:wayne wrote:Why wouldn't I notice it, you've been spouting the same crap since you've been on these boards.Cardiff Dave wrote:wayne wrote:The most embarrassing and diabolical part of that post is your use of the word bloos, why don't you just go and give your support to the team that you really support and that is Cardiff RFC, and leave the Cardiff Blues and the rest of the Region who want to follow and support a team with the betterment of Welsh Rugby at heart.Cardiff Dave wrote:"embarrassing" and "diabolical" Cardiff bloos.....

Dave, I'm of an age that can remember fondly of a GOLDEN AGE of Welsh Rugby, and thought this was a good chance to replicate that era, if Regionalism had been brought in in the right way without stand alone status, this could have been achieved, this petty bickering only harms us, tomorrow if you follow our game on Scottish Television we will be known as Neath/Swansea Ospreys, which we went away from YEARS AGO.Cardiff Dave wrote:wayne wrote:So why call them Cardiff Bl..s, when that is obviously NOT their nameCardiff Dave wrote:wayne wrote:Well, that goes to show what an idiot you are, you've said on here many, many times how you've been to support the Cardiff Blues, so going to PAY to watch a team I DON'T support is something I or any sane person wouldn't do.Cardiff Dave wrote:wayne wrote:Why wouldn't I notice it, you've been spouting the same crap since you've been on these boards.Cardiff Dave wrote:wayne wrote:The most embarrassing and diabolical part of that post is your use of the word bloos, why don't you just go and give your support to the team that you really support and that is Cardiff RFC, and leave the Cardiff Blues and the rest of the Region who want to follow and support a team with the betterment of Welsh Rugby at heart.Cardiff Dave wrote:"embarrassing" and "diabolical" Cardiff bloos.....

Solid win by the Blues select this evening Dai. That team they put out looked pretty strong. I think the Premiership select teams competing in the B&I cup is going to be a good idea.

Yeah it's a great idea and all Cardiff players apparently, so why not call a spade, a spade. Only in fibbing Wales eh? They kept the jersey a bit of a secret too. Wonder if they'll sell it in the Arms Park shop? And Ponty's shop for that matter. I'd buy one.

I popped on the Ponty Forum earlier as haven't been on there a while and was not surprised to see that PhillBB has taken to trolling on there
What was the attendance for the 'Cardiff plus a few Ponty players select' team then? I heard 725 but that is not confirmed. I imagine all the Cardiff Blues supporters on here went to the match of course?

probably not. I mean how could they go and support a team that has a Ponty badge on it?
Besides, why do the Blues need to develop their own when they can go and buy good players from elsewhere

Rhys Patchell shifting to the Terks I hear. Anything to do with him being fecked about, moving him from 10 to 15 and back again?

He wants to play 10 and can't be guaranteed it by the Blues,
Can't blame him, at the Scarlets he will get to play with

Great loss for the Blues that one, but if the union and coach prefer him to be playing 10 more often then why not. Didn't think it was so bad both him and Anscombe being at the Blues, especially if one is on a NDC - that's supposed to free up some playing time for another. Blues loss would be an excellent gain for the Scarlets. The team is finally starting to look strong across the board except at 10 where they're very weak IMO; Lot of points left out on the field this season already.

I don't blame him either. Shame to lose him though. Anscombe our first choice 10 I spose with Shingler from the Terks as back up?

You appear to keep on lauding these NDCs, but what do they mean exactly? My suspicion is, they give Gatland too much influence in deciding when and in what position these players feature for their pro teams.

Re: Cardiff Blues Season Thread 3 - Danny Wilson Appointed Head Coach
I answered you the other day - all I can say is we've been given the same information on them. They can't be that bad if more players are signing up, plus it increases their wages slightly so might keep the French clubs at bay for a little longer. Would you have a great issue with Gatland influencing the state of play at the regions? IMO he should do a little more so that the players aren't so far off the required level for international rugby. The only one he's got wrong thus far I reckon is switching Rhodri Jones.
BTW if Patchell is to switch then it's most certainly on a NDC. I don't see how mentioning that is lauding?

Lauding too strong a word I spose. Excepting them without knowing the details then as there are bound to be strings attached. Flicking through twitter just now, it appears that there are. Yeah I do have issues with WRU meddling with the 4 pro teams. There again I also have issues with the 4 for agreeing to WRU meddling.

An historic event don't you reckon Gav - a Cardiff RFC crest alongside a Ponty RFC crest on the same bloos jersey? Yet no mention of this whatsoever on the bloos or Ponty websites as far as I can find.

Coz we're a family and a blooosfamily with a common goal. A bit dysfunctional (most are I would wager), but nevertheless a family. Wibble.

Can't believe Wilson comments about only wanting players who want to player for the Blues. Patchell was playing well at 10 for the blues week in week out and then they parachute in Anscombe to play 10 and move patch to 15. I'd be disappointed too. Now I know that DW wasn't around when all this happened, but I do question his motives?

Understandable though I spose since Wilson is head coach and he'll be judged on Cardiff bloos results, so there's his motive.

They're both on the right sleeve, Ponty at the front with Cardiff at the back.

Do I believe or should I call the nurse?

I get the feeling DW is being given the time and the tools to get the job done. There again I thought that with the last bloke.

There's been rumour afoot this season that it will be happening. Having said that, Blues look as if they already have the players bar two or three positions.

It is happening. Wonder how long it will continue to happen though without interference from above. Think it's a few more than two or three positions btw. See what the summer brings I spose. Be patient is the call.

"Cardiff Blues are giving parents the perfect chance to hit the shops this festive season on Saturday and keep the kids entertained at the same time - with our Christmas Drop & Shop!
Parents can drop their children off on Saturday at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park for a morning of rugby sessions and fun activities while they go off and shop in the city centre!"

I believe/understand that Uncle Charlie has whipped out his cheque book and there'll be at least 6 brand new super signings for next season. Hussar!

I heard that too Dave. Hopefully Halfpenny is one of them? Have you heard any names be chucked about? I hope other Welsh teams follow through and do it, better yet do a Connacht; get a good coach and recruit high quality players in the right positions.
