Right, I've had a bit of (too much?) time. The good news is the tiebreaker will definitely come into play. Here are all the scenarios, and the most likely winners taking into account tiebreak predictions:
W RU Possible Winner
Aus NZ Biltong, Mike
NZ Aus Olly
NZ Ind Olly
Ind NZ Biltong, Mike
All to play for!
EDIT: Removed the SA in the final scenarios. Barring some miraculous six hitting its between Olly, Mike and Biltong now!

Are the pools panel results in yet for the, no doubt spectacular, number of 6s hit in Aus v Bangladesh? *Asking for a friend*

Re: World Cup Predictions Competition - Charity Donation for Winner - Entries by Fri 13th Feb
As far as I can tell after today this is how things stand:
it is between Biltong, liverbnz, the corporal, Olly and myself on points.
If Australia win then both Biltong and myself have it entirely correct, and will be split on the tie-breaker. The crucial number of 6s which splits us is I think 459 - anything less and Biltong wins, anything more and I do (what do we do if it finishes exactly on 459 BTW?). I think we are currently on something like 455 6s, so this could be tight.
If New-Zealand win then Liver, Corporal and Olly all will have 22 points (one incorrect semi-finalist) whereas Biltong and myself will be on 20. They will be split by 6s which will almost certainly be Olly unless something remarkable happens in the semi-finals.
Alfie with 468 looks like he might just win the consolation prize of being the closest to the number of 6s hit (unless a low scoring final) but has been undone by spectacularly over-rating England's chances ;-)

Hi Mike,
Interestingly the number of sixes so far is 459, that crucial number you mention. I expect another 6 or two to be hit in the final! So I would say its now between you Olly only.
So Aus Win - Mike takes the prize
NZ Win - Olly takes the prize

So given their county teams, we have a Middlesex v Surrey World Cup Final here!

Considering my stated love for this New Zealand team - if they win the final I may just turn my back on England and go all in on the Kiwis

How many sixes has there been in the World Cup?
460 or more, Mike wins, 458 or less I win.

I think Mikes gonna do it - Could be close though between him and olly.. I think there are too many 6's made bilt..
And now I want olly to win as that would have been my charity as well....But then this nonsense supporting a team 12000 miles away is putting me off!
Cheers VTR- well done to the winner

Well done all you "finalists" ...Mike and Olly , good luck.
Be nice if my sixes total was close : I should point out I didn't so much overrate England's chances as just try to put a couple of wild cards in there since everyone (except Fernando) seemed to have the same three teams in the final...But I'll say I hexed them

Just to confirm, 459 sixes so far, so the only way Biltong can tie with Mike is if no sixes are hit in the final.

Safe to say all over now. Well called, Mike. Bad luck, Olly, although I did feel this post was tempting fate and had a Cameronesque feel of ''not running for a third term'' about it.
VTR - many thanks for your contribution. Good to have an extra interest for England supporters!

I won
Seriously, many thanks to VTR for organising.
My charity of choice is wateraid.
Given that I won over Biltong only by virtue of being slightly less far out than he was of the total number of 6s (neither of us especially close) I would like to match VTR's donation to a charity of Biltong's choice.
Thanks again.

Relying on England was only one of my downfalls.

Alfie - brilliant prediction as to the sixes. I still feel somewhat robbed that the Australia v Bangladesh game was a wash out but concede now that even with Warner taking on their spinners I would have fallen short!

In the various options you can see above the "quick reply" box you have "host an image" and "insert an image". I assume one of those would do quite nicely

Right, I can't get the image to upload
Rest assured the donation is made, and with gift aid ends up around £33
Wateraid looks like a great cause so I am really happy to donate to them
