Random factor, like a tractor...
Hello. Following its roaring success on the old 606 (winner of six Luckies*) I thought I'd provide a space on 606v2 for you to post any irrelevant little things you fancy sharing.
I'll start: I've always had trouble with the line 'Love grows where my Rosemary goes.' If they'd chosen another name like Anne or Susan there'd be no problem, but rosemary's a herb so it could be 'Love goes where my rosemary grows.'
* - an award I made up just now.

Or love grows where my Rosemary goes?
How well do buttercups build?
Why is he asking a range of common herbs if they are going to Scarborough Fair?
Do you think he gave her one on the big flat stone where thyme and Rosemary grow?
Tell Chris Farlowe, Damian Allbran and Mick Jagger that most supermarkets and 24 hour convenience stores sell Thyme nowadays, if the are prepared to used dried rather than fresh. So there really is no excuse for their laments, chicken or no chicken.

Not many people know that Frankie Valli was working in a cheese factory when he came up with 'Working my Whey back to You.'

Isn't Justin a man with a very small 'bunch of thyme'?

I think 1999 by Prince sounds increasingly wide of the mark on it's basic premise.

The working title of 'Ebony and Ivory' was 'Cutlery and Crockery,' which came to Paul McCartney as he was doing the washing up.

Find a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll wonder if you should hand it in to the police.

Find a penny, pick it up,
All day long you'll have good luck.
If you give it to a friend,
Then you can kid yourself that you needn't feel guilty.

I bought a MicroKorg. It was amazing, the sounds you could get out of it were something else. The thing is, I can't play piano, so I couldn't really play a tune on it. So I sold it on to my brother-in-law.

Good man Lucky, the odd beat goes on...
"We skipped the light fandango
turned cartwheels 'cross the floor
I was feeling kinda seasick
but the crowd called out for more
The room was humming harder
as the ceiling flew away
When we called out for another drink
the waiter brought a tray"
You cant get drugs like that anymore. God be with the aul days...

What do they call that, when people like doing it with grapes? It's a fetish I've never heard of before.

Because he was supposed to deliver the recording to a record label, but nicked it instead. Now he mocks the band by humming along with it, knowing that they can't prove he pinched it.

Re: Random factor, like a tractor...
Has anyone ever wondered what would have happened if Luke Skywalker joined Darth Vader at the end of the Empire Strikes back :
Vader : Obi Wan never told you what happened to your father....
Luke : He told me enough, he told me you killed him.
Vader : No, I am your Father.
Luke : No, thats not true.... THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!
Vader : Search your feelings you know it to be true!
Luke : <thinks it over> Meh, your right, you are my father. We have plenty of catching up to do......pub?
Vader : What about your hand I just cut off?
Luke : Ahhh don't worry about it, to be fair I was being a bit of a Brat, I'll just get a robotic one later.

There are two ways to pronounce 'blowdry'. Today, only one was deemed complimentary by my loyalty card.
I had to reassure the proprietors on my notions of 'loyalty'.
Though after that shampooing-cum-scalp massage, the alternative would certainly be complementary.
Society will demand I'm henceforth resigned to the crew cut.

Or did he command ownership after his live show?
Did it then belong to a friend away on holidays?
