Given that we have a gossip thread I thought it would be fitting to have a thread for transfers that go through. This can be any league domestically or world wide. Please make sure they have been confirmed before posting them if they haven't been confirmed they are gossip and belong on the gossip column.

Pirlo at Juve will be an interesting one, same for Ziegler going there too, seems to have re-established himself.

Maybe we should try to not put transfers others have, or you edit your original post with the new transfers other people post?

Danny Grainger was rumoured to be coming to Carlisle Sad I guess he didn't want to be competing with Robson for the left back position, or Hearts offered more money, but we still need some cover in case Robson gets injured or if injuries mean he moves back to left mid.

Pirlo could be a very good signing on a free, but he didn't play much last season, does anyone know why this was?

Probably age, more than anything. He's a class act, but they changed their system to accommodate Robinho and Ibra and obviously Prince-Boateng is an emerging young player too.

Pirlo has been injured a lot this year he only made 15 appearances for AC in the season just passed. AC are trying to bring the age of their side down and get a bit more pace into the side. Pirlo was starting to not fit in any more he slows the pace down, he is a dead ball expert though and has a great range of passing. If he stays fit he should be a good signing but it might be an indication that Acquilani won't be staying at Juventus.

Nuri Sahin is moving to Real Madrid over the summer; 10m EUR which seems like a bargain.

Shame it's to Real Madrid he might have got a game somewhere else. I think he may have some injury issues as he hasn't played many games in recent seasons. He has a great shot for someone who doesn't score regularly.

That would have been Mehdi Abeid; a decent young lad who's just left RC Lens. The Cabaye deal was rumoured for a few days before a NUFC delegation went out to France to convince him and Gervinho to come to Tyneside.

Thats the one a was thinking off:P

Gervinho would be a excellent signing for us. Can play on the wing or up front aswell, him and Ben Arfa would be a lethal combination.

Strong rumours in the French media that he told NUFC late last night that he is ready to sign. Gervinho playing infront of a midfield of Jonas, Tiote, Cabaye and Ben Arfa sounds brilliant! Not to mention Nolan as backup.

Would you drop Nolan?

Newcastle need to bring in a goalscorer and a strong centre back imo. Maybe even a right back as well. That would give them a strong 11 then they need to strengthen their squad a bit with steady squad players.

Where starting to form some midfield!

I would probably play 4-3-3 though and have Nolan playing

Nolan Tiote Cabaye

Jonas Gervinho Ben Arfa

Just a centre back now and we'd have formed a promising team going into next season.

Pardew will play 4-4-2. Problem with that front line is their doesn't seem to be a lot of goals in it.

Gervinhos got 25 goals from 54 games which is almost a goal every two games. Which isn't too bad.

But I would agree we could do with a player who can score 20 goals a season which i'm not sure we would have with Ben Arfa and Gervinho. A player like Peter Odemwingie would be perfect.

Liam, not enough strength up there to hold the ball up. I'd rotate Nolan with Cabaye, I reckon Cabaye will play more passes forward. CB is strong enough with Taylor finding form and Coloccini having a good season. Another winger and striker would be my priority, and then a LB to challenge Enrique and then look towards possibly a RB.

Malaga, aren't they the one that got taken over by some rich owners and have Real Madrid's old manager and are trying to build up their own team of "Galaticos"? Will Van Nistelrooy still cut it at the highest level? Real Madrid were supposed to want him back but got Adebayor instead.

That's a good signing. Redknapp was saying it's great to have three good goalkeepers now, but I can't see all three staying. It will probably be Gomes who goes, as I can't see either him or Friedel wanting to stay on the bench, in fact I have a feeling that's why Friedel went to Tottenham over the supposed Liverpool interest as he has been promised first team football.

He has signed a two year contract as well which is interesting considering he is already 40.
