2-0 to Brighton then it goes to pens.
Although think Wednesday will take it tonight 2-1.

So who do you fancy in the final...the Owls or the Tigers?
Missed the match but the stats look insane in favour of Brighton - 67% possession, 27 shots 9 on target.
Wednesday must've had their backs to the wall for long periods.

Sheff Wed were pretty comfortable 2nd half, limited Brighton to half chances.
Don't fancy Brighton to emulate this season next year.

They'll get there, beating Hull away is hard enough, let alone scoring 3 just to level it.GSC wrote:Hull still have to get there.

I just hope Derby score early to make it a slight bit interesting.
If it is to be Hull, think they will edge it, but would want wednesday to win( unless walsall can overcome the odds to beat barnsley).

I'd prefer Hull to go up, look the strongest squad & would probably be a threat next season to us, for promotion. Derby are bottlejobs & Brighton won't repeat this. Don't see much else to worry about, other than Norwich, who have been there & done it.

What an unbelievable season, missing out on promotion by 2 goals is so harsh, but the passion, commitment, energy levels, and general performances have been the best I've ever seen supporting this club.
Devastated not to get promoted as I really do feel like we deserve it, but we have gone from staying up by the skin of our teeth to missing out on promotion on goal difference. Just need to keep Hughton and this group of players together, with a few tweeks.
Silver lining, there is some cracking away days in store next season. Burton, Newcastle, Villa, Norwich, Wigan, Brentford, Fulham, Forest, the list goes on ...
Selfish point of view but i want hull to go up, been there done that. Don't wanna go back, never been to Hillsbrough before.

Don't feel too bad. If we hadn't slipped up against teams we should have beaten easily (Charlton, MK Dons and Rotherham spring to mind, among others), you wouldn't have had a look in.
Also, teams finishing 3rd - especially by narrow margins - usually find it hard to pick themselves up for the play-offs.
Agree that if you stick with Hughton and get a bit more strength in depth to your squad, you ought to be in with a good shout for automatic promotion next season. Villa and Newcastle will both have to assemble new squads, so I'd imagine your main competition will be Norwich, either Hull or Wednesday, plus one dark horse / outsider team (there is usually at least one).

Indeed it's going to be tricky to say the least.

One of your main concerns will be hanging on to Dunk, a good footballing CB, can see quite a few PL teams being after him, runs that Brighton defence.NickisBHAFC wrote:What an unbelievable season, missing out on promotion by 2 goals is so harsh, but the passion, commitment, energy levels, and general performances have been the best I've ever seen supporting this club.

Derby like Brighton had nothing to lose. Hull probably overly conservative. But you cant lose the home leg 3-0 and progress.

Very strange at Cardiff, think they could could struggle next season, then again I said that about Leicester.
Warnock has left Rotherham as well. Didn't think he was gonna continue, an appointment they really need to get correct.

Hard to argue with that. He's marshalled our defence superbly and dug us out of many a hole, when we've been under pressure.

Greer, Zamora, Calderon, Crofts and Chickson all released.
Greer the surpriseing one. Hopefully Dunk will stay, otherwise were a bit short in the defending side.
Calderon and Zamora club legends. The latter will retire I suspect.
Crofts and Chickson should probably find a league one club.

Think we may have missed a trick there.
RDM to be new Villa manager then i guess.
Yes he got the Baggies up, but i feel Perason is better suited to manage in the championship.
Not saying RDM will be a bad appointment, only time will tell on that.
He may actually turn out to be a good appointment, if indeed it is to be him, which it looks like it will be.
Whoever the new manager is, as long as he is free to sign who he wishes and if he is told he so much to spen, then hope he gets it, not like those clowns who messed Garde around.

But also going down to the championship with them.
