Yes 53% - No 44% ....Can Sturgeon take advantage and gain independence for Scotland ??
First topic message reminder :
Amazing polling figures from Ipsos-Mori (Poller was closest to the result in 2014)....Show a big 9% lead for those that want independence....
All time high !!!!
The question is how does Sturgeon manipulate another vote sooner rather than later to take advantage ??
Let's be honest this SNP bubble won't last !!!!!...........
Much food for thought for the little ball-breaker and her army..............
These figures must be both uplifting and depressing at the same time !!!.

I am sorry but you are either ignorant or stupid, or both. The conservatives gave Scotland the right to Independence barely a year ago.
Apparently NO getting 25% more votes than YES was waaaaay too marginal to count.....

GSC wrote:Independence at cost pounds great. Until you actually have to deal with the fallout and it's your job under threat, taxes going up, welfare going down, erosion of standard of public services etc because the SNP didn't have a cohesive plan, nor are they actually competent in government, for how to grow an independent Scotland.
If a party puts forward such a cohesive and clear plan then Scotland should vote for independence. But the SNP has not done that and the heart cant overrule the head on such a momentous decision.
With all due respects those scenarios are played out periodically whilst in the union. Recessions happen in the union as well.
You seem to be stuck in short-term thinking as well. An independent Scotland could choose whatever party it wants to govern it - it is not a case of SNP or nothing as they under both Salmon and Sturgeon have said the SNP would be disbanded on achieving independence. Even if they reneged on that it is up to the people who they elect as the first elected government of an independent Scotland. And as I said since many here claim the SNP are only so popular with voters for their pushing for independence and nothing else then surely those voters would head elsewhere to another party to vote for them

You are extremely naive if you think the SNP or whichever phoenix party rose from their ashes wouldn't be heavy favorites to govern. The nature of the situation makes it inevitable.
Its pretty easy to elect a SNP member as a MP. There's little riding on it. I suspect quite a few who said they were voting for independence in polls before hand chickened out once at the poll, in a way they didn't at the general election.

And you seem to be contradicting most on here who say the SNP is only so popular in Scotland because they are pushing for independence even though they are incompetent by their estimation. They are only in a position of power due to them pushing for independence and naff all to do with anything else. If that is the case then once independence is achieved surely surely surely the voters would desert this party of incompetence? If they wouldn't then that says the voters see the SNP as more competent than posters here reckon they do does it not?
Anyway on independence this sums things up nicely:-
