Would Khan get credit for beating Manny?
It looks like this might happen in the first quarter of 2016(which would annoy me as that would mean Khan being out the ring for close to a year again). Arum has stated he is talking to Khan's team about the fight. I have my doubts it will happen as uncle Al and uncle Bob don't get on but assuming it does happen wil Khan get credit if he beats Manny?
After all Manny is 37(closer to 38 when the fight takes place). He has not looked that great lately and is coming off a one sided loss against Floyd(no shame there). He is also coming off a shoulder operation.
So if Khan beats Manny does he get any credit?

Yes I would give him credit for sure, considering the lengths Floyd went to, to ensure he could beat Pacquiao.

I don't agree to be honest, and i hope this does not turn into another Mayweather bashing thread

Well to answer your question without using Floyd.
Yes Pacquiao has seen better days, but if Khan beat him it would still be huge.
Lets face it, beating any version of Pac is better than struggling past Algeri.

Re: Would Khan get credit for beating Manny?
I'd give him a lot of credit.......Good win is Manny....Problem is though that Khan is a love/hate figure and I'm afraid I think it's a lot to do with his Asian heritage..
He beats Brook......Brook is overrated.....
He beats Manny......Manny's shoulder wasn't right and he's past it....
I'm afraid whatever Khan does he can't win with many fans..

I pick both Brook and Manny.
Khan could beat both, but I think he would get stopped late. Just my opinion.

I'm not his biggest fan and it has nothing to do with his Asian heritage. I hate the way he has wasted his peak and also the way he talks about himself in the 3rd person winds me up for some reason

Credit?
An over the hill retiring Pac who is just about to embark on a farewell tour of meaningless pay check fights stating with Khan so he can go and tackle the world of politics with his last fight being held in the Philipines no doubt.
Not a hungry Pac who is willing to face ATG after ATG and beat them. Khan can't get any credit until he faces a contempary fighter in their primes like Thurman or Porter. Seems to be hiding from the big big fights. Never really pushed the chances of fighting Mayweather enough for me. Should have forced a fight through instead he shyed away from Mayweather who was willing to fight him.

Re: Would Khan get credit for beating Manny?
Love how everyone thinks Pac is done because he lost to Mayweather.
Floyd fought with 100% concentration in that fight and trained his a.s off.
Granted Pacquiao wasn't always on attack, but Floyd was great defensively.
Floyd landed more, but he didn't land "that many" clean shots on Manny.
I actually think Manny boxed ok, he just wasn't his usual aggressive self. Perhaps Floyds right hand made him a bit cautious early on.
Floyd won at least 9 rounds, but he didn't exactly dominate Manny in any of the rounds, It wasn't a masterclass in my opinion. Least not in the way the commentators would have you believe.

You're slagging Floyd off for picking his moment with Manny..
Now you're saying Manny isn't done..

He isn't done. He is a bit shopworn but not completely shot.
Of course Floyd picked his moment. He wanted no part of Manny until he lost to JMM.

Khan would get credit, but I feel Manny would catch Khan at some stage of the fight, and I don't see Manny letting him off the hook.
That Khan chin is always going to let him down against big punchers.

Re: Would Khan get credit for beating Manny?
Khan better see this as his biggest fight yet because if he sleeps on Manny then it could be over in brutal fashion. I think a focused Khan should do enough to win but he will look a mess at the end.
For me Manny is not focused. He was not focused for the last Marquez fight even tho he fought well at times and you got the impression he never really believed he would beat Mayweather just picking up that check $$$.
Now as I have stated before Manny is wrapping things up. A nice earner against Khan who does not pose a threat and the possibility that if Manny connects then its good night Khan. If he losses no big deal he has cemented his legacy and made some good bread. So whoever can be arsed will win.

Catch yourself on. He has been a champ and professional for long time. Hardly a prospect, he is a ducker.
Truss you slag Wlad for his vulnerability but are oblivious to Khans.
You have no clue when it comes to Khan. Either that or you're biased.

Re: Would Khan get credit for beating Manny?
Adam it's hard to take you seriously when you throw a hissy fit every 5 minutes. Khan chased the Garcia match initially, they didn't wan't to know. After Matthyse beat the spirit out of him, he's looked like sh*t so now want's to have another go at Khan to boost his flagging appeal. Rare instance when the victor chases the loser for a rematch.
Re: Would Khan get credit for beating Manny?
When have I ever been oblivious to Khan's faults...Stop making unsubstantiated statements..
Khan's problem is his impetuosity......But he's a quality operator with top skills..
Not a plodder that fights in straight lines and stinks..

I agree now he is a contender, but surely he has to face someone in the top 10 next? Most if not all in the WW division can bang a bit

The rules do change for Khan due to racism. Simple as that. It's dressed up as not liking his personality but overall it's just plain racism.
