Villa 0-1 Watford - Ighalo

No side after 14 games has survived with 5 pts or less. Even PL's worst ever side Derby had 6pts

McLaren has to go - his side are shipping in too many goals. Currently they are in the relegation zone due to goal difference.

Stoke are down to 10 men so they will probably go defensive. It means Sunderland should at least gain a point and move out of the relegation zone after todays matches.

The Toon fan on BBC coverage has it right...

"The sad truth is that you can't build a team in one transfer window. We're paying the price for a lack of consistent investment"

Sunderland 1 Stoke 0

Allardyce playing twist and getting the goal.

Villa 1 Watford 3. Looks ominous for Villa.

Bournemouth 2 Everton 2
Villa 2 Watford 3

Bournemouth go above Newcastle as it stands on goal difference. Newcastle second from bottom.

I thought Bournemouth could have won it because they completely turned the game around against Everton at the end.  But Everton have been playing really well lately so not bad from Bournemouth.

Villa seem to have player discipline problems with Grealish and maybe a few others.
