Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
No one like Chelsea, Miky, we told you this!
I don't think there's anyone realistic who is available and worth having. The man they could have had is the manager beating them.
I'm not Coutinho's biggest fan but if you give him time and space you're mugs. Still, he's one of many with potential and you can't bemoan some not being a fan yet berate Sterling as awful.

Surely Ancelotti would be doing better with this Chelsea side than 11 points in 11 games?

Ancelotti is not the answer, he isn't up for a fight nowadays. His second season at Chelsea went backwards after all, failed to win any trophies.

Is there a bookmaker out there offering odds on Chelsea to win the Championship next season yet?

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Apart from the millions of fans then maybe there are a certain amount of people who don't like Chelsea and thats opinion, i get that.
We obviously don't know that Duty, he may well of done better if he was in the job for this season but i was saying to someone at work yesterday, if Chelsea went on a win streak all of a sudden, no mention of Mourinho being sacked would be around, it's just how football is at times and i get that.
All i'm saying is, despite not getting the best results this season so far, i still don't want us to sack Jose Mourinho, for me he is the best around still and the best man to take us forward, i said before he arrived for this spell that we needed consistency manager wise and it seems like he wants to provide that and i feel he can provide that.

Credit to Klopp - the Benteke sub changed the game, and Liverpool thoroughly outplayed Chelsea

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Stick with Moanrinho. Can he not have one duff season? There seems to be two factors: 1) Loss of Thibaut Courtois to injury with Petr Cech leaving during the summer. 2) Pre-season was apparently poor according to Mourinho - players returned unfit and fat.
Some say Moanrinho wants to get sacked: the way he blames the referees and his ill-discipline with the FA.
PS Klopp seems to be bringing a different work ethic to Liverpool plus more innovative tactics compared to Brendan Rogered.

I'm guessing Klopp will be creamed over now, when in reality, winning at the Bridge hasn't been a tough ask this season. Koeman & Pardew did it too, but won't get the credit to the levels Klopp will, from the Liverpool media boys.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
If it's not "tough" how come Arsenal couldn't do it, and Swansea?

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Have a feeling it will be both Liam. Some fans will paint it as a master class, others such as yourself will see it as being more a result of Chelsea's recent woes. In my opinion the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Liverpool played very well, Chelsea very poorly. 3-1 was a fair result. I'm a very happy fan either way!!
Potential red cards will no doubt be the focus of the press conferences. Could have (probably should have) been a red for both sides today.

On a side note, wouldn't mind Milner being left out for a game or 2. Was poor again today!

Stick with Mourinho, he's making Moyes look like manager of the century and i'm taking great delight in seeing Chelsea lose every other week.

Those outside of Chelsea, Miky. Generations too, they've just never been popular.
Big first win for Klopp, regardless of Chelsea's woes. Benteke was a game changer.

In the modern era only Mourinho has regularly won the premiership for Chelsea (four times). Of the other managers only Ancelotti has won Chelsea the premiership (once) and he was sacked the next year. Hiddink, Benitez all failed to win the premiership.

Chelsea are having a poor spell but really, who out there will be an improvement on Jose. Already burned their bridges with Carlo, cant see Pep being interested.
Joses an easy target for many reasons (some self inflicted) but some of the players need to take a look in the mirror. Ivanovic, Terry, Matic, Fabregas, Hazard and Costa have all been woeful at times, and uninterested at others.

Leicester and West Ham have been the surprise teams so far this season. Vardy can't stop scoring.

Mourinho is asked if he thinks this is his last match: "No I don't."
Mourinho : "I will go home to find a sad family then I will try to watch some of the rugby and disconnect a little bit from this then I will start preparing the training session for tomorrow morning for Wednesday's game."

Typical - Leicester and West Ham both now losing a goal to nil (but both playing away).Nore Staat wrote:Leicester and West Ham have been the surprise teams so far this season. Vardy can't stop scoring.

1-0 up early and setting up shop for the rest of the game. How depressing.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Andy Carroll tried a Cruyff turn in our box and got tackled, immediately leading to them scoring. I like Andy but the way we're playing we need pace and work up front.
We've been dire. I thought West Brom would be when we had our real bump in the road (can't counter attack against a Pulis side) but this has been poor.

Yeah, I might have had a teensy little bet on West Ham, which probably explains why they have been so dire...

Jose said nothing of the sort or implied he was walking, hence why he hasn't replied.

I doubt that explains the Andy Carroll Cruyff turn i suspect that will be made into a GIF much like Lovren doing stepovers & falling over.

They've played lovely against us today. Mixed it up but some beautiful neat play too. They were my pick of best of the promoted sides but still really impressed today.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Whoever plays up front for Arsenal, should be banging 30 goals a season. No excuses, when you have the amount of chances they do, created by Sanchez, Ozil & Cazorla
Poor by WBA, especially for a Pulis side.
