Re: Everton FC - Furious League
I would say the 3 best are:
Torres, Aguero & Bent, closely followed by Suarez. Forlan has lost it IMO he spent everything he had left in his tank at the World Cup. Di Natale must only have 1 top season left in him at his age, Adebarndoor despite what you say about him Mourinho brought him in to play instead of Benzema and Mourinho seems to know a thing or 2 about football. Higuain is surely 1st choice ahead of them though. Gilardinho is alright but on a par or only slightly better than Defoe & Negrado I would agree with what you said above.

Re: Everton FC - Furious League
how can you say Torres your funny Smarts. Torres has lost his pace and bottle, has no edge anymore and just sulks around. The lads 27, he should be one of if not the best striker in the World now but hes not for a reason (I blame his stupid brain for moving to Liverpool and not Us, he would of been a trophie winning superstar with us).

Re: Everton FC - Furious League
He is a trophy winning superstar Nick, unless you don't cound the World Cup and European Cup?
Don't write Torres off yet, watch next season with a full pre season under his belt I think he will bang them in for Chelsea.

Re: Everton FC - Furious League
After seeing some of his performance against Wycombe (same amount of pre-season and fitness as the rest of the team), I have moved from the "he's unfit and when he gets back to full fitness, he'll be back to the Torres of old" camp, into the "Benitiez playing him with injuries has knackered his knees and he will never be the same player again" camp.
Shame because he was a top, top striker.

Re: Everton FC - Furious League
That is interesting Afro. If that is the case Liverpool are laughing all the way to the bank (Or Newcastle are in reality taking £35M of that for Andy Carroll lol).
But I'm not writing him of just yet I still think he can make a big impact next season, 1 game means nothing especially in pre season.

Smarts, I said trophies, multiples, so yes he has 2 only one of which he had a lot to do with, Euros, World Cup he did shag all.
I agree with the FromMan, I think hes wrecked and wont be the same again. Shame because yes he wasa top top striker, but its his own fault for transfering to a Poopie club

Re: Everton FC - Furious League
Did anyone see any of Torres v Portsmouth at the weekend? Once again he was garbage and once again a poor CB (think it was Ben-Haim) had him in his pocket for most of the game.
I'm sorry, but the excuse of lacking match fitness doesn't wash anymore.
He's had too many operations on those knees and he has lost that burst of speed he once had.
I'm sorry, but he is no longer a great striker. Aguero is possibly the best in the league, but I can name at least 6 strikers in the league who are better than Torres is now, including Gilardinho.
The best strike force in the league belongs to Everton IMO

Re: Everton FC - Furious League
Really, I'm not.
I really hope you are right, but I don't know how many times people need to watch him play to realise it.
By January, Torres will not be in the Chelsea starting XI and they will be looking to replace him.
You'll be telling me Michael Owen will be back to his best next year too.

Re: Everton FC - Furious League
The excuse was always that Torres is lacking match fitness. Give him a pre-season and he will be back firing.
I'm sorry, he has had more rest than a lot of his teammates and as much pre-season training, but he is still a yard behind them.

Re: Everton FC - Furious League
andy caroll cost 35mill to liverpool but we all know he's not worth that. Beneficia are the masters of overpricing players and as a real madrid fan i feel they paid over the odds for him. 20mill max imo is what he's worth. Any ways lets get negotiating -

Re: Everton FC - Furious League
Hi Nick, at the moment I am re-building my midfield and it is almost complete I just need to finalise a deal or two.
I am still intrested in Gilardinho, would you take £18m for him? £10m now and the other £8 from predo and winning games and dodgy deals. What do you say?

£2.5 million up front. For Walker.
With a further fee if we finish out of the bottom 2?

Re: Everton FC - Furious League
Umm how about because 1) It's a very good cash offer and more than he is worth
2) So you will have loads of cash to bring in a LB
However I would be willing to change the deal to:
Criscito + £12.5M = Bale
That way you solidify the LB spot and still get a decent amount of cash.

Re: Everton FC - Furious League
I never have and never will need Ricky Van Wolfswinkel lol I have Bent, Suarez and Rodallega who are all a lot better than him.
My offer is Criscito + £12.5M for Bale
or if you want Podolski, Criscito + Podolski = Bale + £10M
2 offers for you to mull over, if you think it improves your team then accept, if not reject won't be improving on them or changing them as I think they are fair.

Criscito + Podolski + £8m = Bale ????
^^^ Rejected
As I said, my offers are
Criscito + £12.5M = Bale
Or
Criscito + Podolski = Bale + £10M
However I have just noticed you have no cash, as such I would accept payment when you have it but the fee would rise to £12.5M
Criscito + Podolski = Bale + £12.5M to be paid as soon as you have it.

If you want cash accept the 1st offer lol
