Laidlaw passing is so slow even when he has passes it, floating to his man give time for the defence to smash the receiver.

Scottish backline play has been awful recently.
Absolutely devoid of ideas... So far below par for such a talented midfield. But they are always using the centres as decoys, get the ball through the hands and make some gaps open

You feel that Scotland could play a third 40 minutes after this one finishes and still not create a try chance.

Jamie George on the pitch for 4 minutes... the outrage from beshocked later on will be rather hilarious for a spectator such as myself.

The quick throw in by Nowell and kick by Brown ending up in a pen for Scotland earlier on wasn't too clever either - 9 points up at the time just take the line-out which wasn't in a bad position and keep building ...maestegmafia wrote:I was about to write that Scott's are kicking away too much ball but what a mistake by Mike Brown...

In that sequence, I was concerned Youngs might give the ball to the backs or kick it away. Amazing I could feel that way.

As a Wales fan, these first 2 matches couldn't have gone better. France and Scotland were poor, England average and Italy look competent but not likely to shock Cardiff.
Just hope Ireland are as poor tomorrow and Wales avoid a rusty start.

Played 1, won 1. But England will have to improve by a great margin.
Scotland have missed a glorious chance to defeat a tame and average England side.

BS is right though, Hartley was not impressive, ignored by the referee when ever he approached him.

A decent win for England but I cant help but feel the game was ruined as a spectacle by some seriously poor refereeing by Lacey. Both sides suffered from his ineptitude.

There wasn't one
Yes there was - Care blocked Laidlaw - not that Laidlaw would have stopped Vunipola much quicker
Have a look again at the replays later. Laidlaw was foolish to get conned but Care clearly blocked him and opened the channel for Vunipola

Well is might not of been one the most exciting games. But England came her to win and win they did.
Scotland still have not scored a try against England in the Calcuta cup.
Well played England a nice start to the 6ns.

Very professional performance from England. To make an exciting Scotland team look so average takes some doing.
Very happy with that win, good showing from an improving English side.

Poor poor game. Two good sets of backs on the park. None of them got much ball or did anything with what they got. Englands power as typified by Vunipola won them the game. Scotland couldn't get enough control, couldn't get the turnovers they were set up for, couldn't make the pace count
