Thacker has been the best hooker on the park. Wish he'd started. Our subs have been excellent.
If there was a competent ref we'd have maybe got an undeserved LBP. Of our starters only Balmain can hold his head up from our starting fifteen.
Three non penalties from Garner. He has no clue at the maul.

Have to admit, the ref has been an absolute plank for both teams with no authority.
Disputed my moaning, have to congratulate Falcons, took a your chances well.

Our maul and maul defence has been outstanding, well done Mr Wells.
To stop Tigers getting a LBP and to win so convincingly is fantastic. We really seem to kicking on, especially at home.
Who'd have thought we'd have beat Quins, Bath and Leicester in 3 home games on the trot???

Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 12
No he overthrew on his first line out, had one picked off and threw two not straight the ref didn't call. Thacker beat the first man on every carry, was at every breakdown and perfect at the line out. Scrum solid as a rock as well. Wish he'd started.
Tigers went with some experienced players who aren't dully fit and they let us down. Leo, Crane and Camacho should be lucky to make the bench next week. Thacker, Pearce and Roberts were all so much better. Pearce once again showed why he should be starting and given the contract he's been rumoured to be demanding.
Falcons gave us a lesson in defensive intensity. Goode (my MOTM) gave Burns a lesson in controlling a game.

McGuigan to be announced by Leicester next week.
IMO move Thacker to 7 have him throw in instead of McGuigan .

I'll agree to disagree Sam.
Latu was miles ahead of Goode today. Goode is the experience that we needed in this side. He directs us.
But Latu today was a man of steel.

Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 12
This could hopefully be the making of Leicester's season. This run it back from anywhere on the pitch and chuck it about side to side isn't going to work. Territorial kicking game has been remarkably absent for months and only a couple of moments of magic against Gloucester masked what would've been 3 urine poor performances in a row.
Maybe a bit of attacking flair was needed after last season but the pendulum has swung too far and it's just being played like a game of sevens now. I just hope the moaners on the Offy are happy after complaining for years about Tigers not playing like Fiji. I'd rather see 80 minutes of scrums and mauls tbh

Burns didn't manage territory very well at all, in fact I'd say he did Poopieformerly known as Sam wrote:No he overthrew on his first line out, had one picked off and threw two not straight the ref didn't call. Have to disagree with that to be honest, other than kicking for territory they should continue as they are. I think we need Williams back so bad.Fuzzy Dunlop wrote:This could hopefully be the making of Leicester's season. Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 12
I hope young Willis and Catterick learn from Goode.
Goode sits there like the conductor letting everyone else and the ball do the work. He has such experience its effortless at times.
Our young guys are often too quick to run with it.
They need to calm down a little and suss out whats going on. (I know that comes with experience)

Good result for us. We really seem to be string some results together. When I looked at our next five matches a couple of weeks ago I thought 1-2 points at the most. To have five already is beyond what I hoped for.

That'd work Welly. We've got to find a way to get Thacker involved every week. He's such a live wire and his work rate is massive, very few forwards have those footballing skills.
I wanted an experienced hooker not another inexperienced one that is growing into the role we have three of those already.

Robinson was great though aswell. Huge in the lineout and all about in the tight and loose.
He's showing why letting Barrow go wasn't a huge blow.

3?????
I'm hoping we get then a experienced TH to go with him.
Brugnara and Tiz have lost coaches confidence by looks of it.
Get a experienced TH and it will help more with a younger hooker.

Cockers gets the rough end of some supporters.
But he is a very up front bloke on the whole.
COS is loved by some as he knows his PR in general.

Farnworth, Thacker and Bateman. All development material with potential. I wanted someone to be the go to man when Youngs isn't available. Our rolling maul is a weapon and we won't be using it if McGuigan is throwing in.
I'd heard a rumour that Geordan has spent the last two weeks in New Zealand. Was hoping he'd be bringing another gem back with him. Maybe a prop instead.
Nathan, I hope they get a rollicking. They deserve it. To be honest I hope he's got them in on Sunday running drills.

One starting season at Welsh before third choice at Exeter then third choice with us. Not really what I was hoping for. A more Ghrildini style signing would be preferable. A Mefin Davies style signing would be perfect.

Clearly part of the Christmas plot hatched across the land for Bath to be relegated. You think Newcastle suddenly finding form is down to their coaching staff? Please.Heaf wrote:Congrats to Falcons - but bugger ... looks like its going to be between LI and Wuss especially as LI have so many long term injuries to key players.

After Worcester beat Bath on Saturday at home. They will be up to 17/18 points and, with Newcastle at 16 points, making Mr. Craig begin to feel the sweat. LI will lose this weekend simply to ensurre no alarm about the master plan. But already arranged for the following weekend. Evil plan progressing forward.
