Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 12
Nice play by Hammersley, he and Watson are looking very lively. Camacho doesn't look match fit at all. Falcons should swap Watson's wing and rake advantage of that.
Tigers need to tighten it up. No rolling mauls thus far and we've got them at the scrum.

We lack a direct runner still to hold defenders out wide.

Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 12
Falcons dive at the ruck and scream at the referee not paying dividends. They'd be better to use their impressive line speed as their main defensive weapon.

We've got so much more confidence compared to earlier in the season, we actually look like a decent side.
We surely can't go down can we?

Three players through the middle of that maul but Garner doesn't want to ref it so just gives a penalty.
Our early positive kick chase seems to have disappeared as well.

Have to congratulate Newcastle. After Cockers said we were doing ok they have gone up a gear or two and just been too fast for us. Tigers just not accurate enough at present.

Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 12
Dunno about the ref siding. He's made some poor decisions and some weak decisions but nothing more than you'd expect with home advantage.
He did miss a clear knock on at the ruck in the build up to that try, just before he awarded the penalty. The ball even bounced loose of the ruck it was a clear give away.
Our tackling is shocking. We deserve nothing from this game at present. Burns needs to stop playing in our half. Kick to the corner and take territory.
Another knock on missed from the kick off.

I think we are being aggressive and and the like of Hammersley is playing great.
Latu is having a big game physically. And Andy Goode is just giving us that experience...

Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 12
Garner has missed plenty of Leicester's infringements aswell, he's just Poopie in general. Newcastle good for the lead but I'm strangely confident Tigers can come back, even though I went for Newcastle by 15.
Burns sadly is increasingly a concern for me, how long until Williams is back?

Andy Goode is playing brilliantly. He's controlling where the game is played beautifully. Garner is pinging the defensive team and he's done that three times for dim Falcons penalties in their half. Goode has seen it and has done everything can to keep it in the Leicester half. Trusted the Falcons defence it's working.

Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 12
I'm not a fan of refs siding with attacking teams.
Refs just need to enforce the rules, not influence the play IMO.

Fair play to Falcons, that's a strong 40 minutes. Good value for their lead.

Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 12
We've been on top in every facet of the game. Best performance I have seen from Falcons in ages. Ref has given us onenor two raw calls too, but we have had the rub of the green for a change. A win here would be such an unexpected boon. I'm sure we'll manage to Frak it up some how though.

Agree, this would be a huge win. Fingers crossed we don't capitulate after half time again.

So garner tells the Falcons players they need to move away from the ruck, yet doesn't penalise them?
