Well at least Jones knows regardless of the end result these England lads have balls, guts and determination.

England just cannot get the ball for any time and that makes it next to impossible.

Oh they have proven they are gutsy for sure. They weren't really expected to get near winning any games here, let alone win one.

Good substitutions from Jones. Emptying the forwards from the bench.

Jones has kept his replacements to this last ten minutes ...
Will it be a winning tactic ? Fresh legs has to help - I'm exhausted just watching it

What a weird year, back in Jan I'd have happily seen Haskell replaced but now it feels like it could be the thing that loses you a game.

Re: Australia v England, 18 June
Thanks Scott.
Or maybe I just can't be positive , we Frak it when I am.
I've been around the game long enough to know more than you credit me with whatever Love sacks I might talk.
But on that I was basing it on the backrow simply not working in the World Cup. The change to 7 for Haskell his new remit from Jones has transformed him.

Amazing from George.
This display of kicking from Australia first two games is unacceptably poor at club level. For international matches its abysmal.

Victory built on stupendous defence.
Just how crucial was that 20 phases towards the end of the first half?!
A real team effort. Well done England.

Re: Australia v England, 18 June
Many may say that the scoreline flattered England but I don't think it does. That defensive effort was simply worth 12-14 points on its own.
The Aussies arrogance in not taking the kickable penalties is what cost them I feel.
I said at the start of this series that I felt England were the better side and that they would win the series comfortably, I feel somewhat justified in that prediction as now they have won the series.
Massive congrats to England and their fans

Wow that was sensational, I have not seen an English side defend like that for a long time, to a man they were brilliant, special mention to Ford who's tactical kicking and tackling were superb.

Re: Australia v England, 18 June
I suspect eng will struggle to defend like that again next week as surely it'll be tough to lift themselves so high with the series wrapped up.
It will no doubt be a totally different type of game.

Re: Australia v England, 18 June
After all the stick he's got this season, and calls that he shouldn't have been on tour at all, a huge amount of praise should be given to George Ford.
His defence has been criticised throughout his career and often unfairly so based purely on his stature. I thought he was fantastic in defence today and last week as well.

England have for sometime now struggled to find a 12 do you think the Ford Farrell combo is the way ahead for you? It worked in the 6 Nations certainly worked today and with Farrell taking the kicking it moves that pressure off Ford.

When was the last time Australia scored zero points in a half?
Icing on the cake is that you get extra ranking points if you win by 15. I was hoping to see Daly kick a penalty from 50m, but Farrell from 42m is more certain.

Agree Ford was great....his tackling was crazy good.
We all slated him and Farrell at 10 / 12 ......but its working.
Can I just praise Robshaw and Haskell though. Those two were the epitome of the side....Warriors

Congratulations English guys. Well deserved and very gutsy win. I thought we might of got there but just couldn't crack that defensive line.
A good couple of tests and for us I think highlighted a couple of pieces we knew we needed to find but also uncovered a couple of good new players. Enjoy the win.

That beats any slam as far as I am concerned. Fantastic, need to go on and whitewash them now!
What a spell for English rugby. Everything is clicking into place, the excellent youth development is supplying player after player ready to step up. I am sure nobody will admit that we have any world class players but mark my words. This is just the beginning.
