Liverpool once again showing they've got no business contending in the title battle. Woeful team without any stand out players.

And Arsenal doing their best to make Liverpools slip ups look like nothing in comparison.. the usual festive season collapse is at it again down at the Emirates. Always been a big fan of Wenger but his time is definitely up...never addressed the Midfield steel issue at club since Viera went and in a game which has shifted massively in England in terms of tactics he has been stubborn with no end result in terms of progression in last 5 years. Cant say lack of winners in side as he has Cech..Mertesacker...Ozil...Sanchez...Giroud...also plenty of older heads to guide youngsters.

Seriously need Tottenham to beat Chelsea tonight otherwise the premier league risks becoming a procession this year. Chelsea's biggest attribute? Their solid defence and their level of consistency.

The next big test for Chelsea will be how they bounce back when their winning streak ends.

Yes starting to look like the main entertainment will come from the top 4 race. Every team from 2-6 has a good chance of grabbing 2nd, 3rd or 4th. Very close.

Really? They are second in the league because of their consistency, their issue is that they can beat the top teams but a way to prone to dropping points to lower teams. I was hoping that Klopp will have changed that mentality but sadly he has not yet. They have every right to be in the title fight.

Chelsea are simply too strong, a very very good side. That said, if they were to lose Costa to an injury for a few weeks I wonder how they would perform then. He seems to be the man that raises that team constantly.

The main thing in Chelsea's favour is that they've had no European football to deal with - makes quite a big difference of the course of the season imo

Really is a key factor in the league considering the teams currently sitting 1st and 2nd! (Difference being Chelsea have a stronger squad, better defense and striker in red hot form).

Huge game tonight. In my view, these are the two best all-round sides in the league. Spurs have finally started to click after a sluggish start to the season and, if anyone can stop Chelsea, it should be them.
If Chelsea win tonight, it's surely all over for the chasing pack. If they lose, then the trips to Leicester and Liverpool this month suddenly look a lot trickier.

Tottenham are dark horses...Good enough to beat anybody but not consistent enough..
Neutrals love Tottenham and why not..
Chelsea shouldn't be too upset..They still look good money.
Arsenal..City....Liverpool too fragile...Utd too much to do.

Impressive from Spurs. I think they are the most likely challengers to Chelsea and, if there was a combined team, I would have more Spurs' players than Chelsea in it (7-4). If Chelsea drop points next time out at the champions then the title race starts to get interesting.

He comes in and out, and I would have him over Alli currently who has only recently hit form again. Or Pedro, who has been excellent. They rotate and I prefer Willian.

You're a bit too young to have seen how good he was for us. People play the goal, a bit of his strops and some turns, but he was a driving force behind the whole side. And did it for us for longer.
Tevez would be up there on pure talent but not there long enough, but Rio is probably a better player than him and Payet. But we missed his peak, whereas we've had Payet's. Still think before this week most West Ham fans would have told you Di Canio > Payet until the latter had done more than a year, and now he'll never do it.

Don't watch as much football these days compared to years ago, so only seen bits of Payet, he's a quality player.
Di Canio was a joy to watch.
That goal against Wimbledon was special.
On West Ham. Saw Carrolls goal from yesterday.
Fantastic finish.

Wow...Everton...Man City have been average this season but that I did not see coming. Those who argued Pep has been lucky to walk into teams which have already been built for him are beginning to look like their view was justified.
Tactically he isn't getting it right at all...if he should have learnt anything before coming to the EPL its that his Tika Taka football tends not to get you over the line in English football anymore..one only needs to look at Arsenals last decade to see that.

Decent match between United and Liverpool. Pogba was beyond bad and Liverpool deserved to win in my view. Rooney was excellent when he came on - the United midfield gave the ball away too much and he added some composure.

You did watch the second half where Rooney spent most of the time giving the ball away right?
Astounded Rashford wasn't brought on. Liverpool showing exactly why they won't win the title again - not good enough in defence. Mignolet bailed them out on many occasions (which as we all know won't happen often)

Cant believe anyone would think Liverpool deserved to win that! All the chances were Man United's, in a game where there weren't many. Draw just about fair considering how long it took United to score.

United had the better chances but Liverpool were the classier team, especially away from home. It's still a good point for them though - they won't win the league so keeping United 5 points adrift is good for them.
