Scotland very flat with no spark, and we've had no territory for 20 minutes

The whining to the ref from the Welsh players is very disappointing. It's almost like football and at every other breakdown.

Needless from Webb - we were in a lot of trouble there anyway

Webb really is one of those old school cheeky scrum halves who tries all the little tricks.

I agree Sam, and the ref should do something about it to shut them up. Its something that's coming in rugby more and more.

Just pick a victim and give a penalty. Call both captains over and say it's now zero tolerance. After that it'll disappear.

Hamish Watson has ridiculous power in contact. Scotland just need to clone a few more of him and give him the ball.

Why we fannying about with the ball so near our 22? Just get rid of it!
Not overly combined by Wales' back feet offside so far

Ridiculous call. The tacklers didn't roll away and the Scottish players couldn't reach the breakdown.

Big hit of Gray but none of the tacklers moved out the way after

Why do Scotland play a tight head who can't scrummage?

Lacey is not being consistent with the tackle release. Not even close. The Scottish support was far too slow there, though.

I'd take 13-9 given how little territory we've had!

Only one side are playing hard and hot enough for International so far. The Scottish boys have to suck in air now and become much more aggressive when Wales are in possession.

Forget the pull before it, but embarrassing attempt on Liam Williams by Hogg before that.
Very physical game. Suits Wales more that, when it's an arm wrestle surely?

Welsh tackling and Lacey's whistle seem to be dominating at the moment. Right team is winning but not always the best spectacle. Liam William's try and some magic from Hogg at the end there are the high points

Scotland will have to play an unbelievable half to win this.
The first half has epitomsied why Wilson will never be an international 8 - he is being destroyed every time he takes the ball into contact.

He chose to go for touch twice instead of the sticks, with halfpenny in your rants it was daft. It was a Chris robshaw moment

Good start for Scotland.
They are relying on a bit of magic from the backs to make any ground, though. The pack needs to front up. The backs are extremely dangerous but they need some of the forwards to punch a few holes.

But we will never know. Given Wales' failure to score any other tries they may well have lost the chance to score the one they did had they taken one of the penalties

If Seymour hadn't scored, then it would only have been because of the tackle. Lacey's decision is consistent with the Ashley Beck incident in Ospreys against Munster but both should probably be judged illegal.
