Why would you meet up with another manager and then spend that time discussing a deal? Seems a bit serious to me.

There is no rules on how you should negotiate deals, its entirely up to you how you do it. I'm not sure why, when you have this forum for that specific purpose, you would then go on Facebook or similar to do it instead. The only reason I can think would be to try and keep any potential deal quiet so that you don't get gazumped.

Personally I think it is clearer, and fairer, to negotiate on here, hence my requests, but how you do negotiate is entirely down to you. You might miss out on potentially better deals by keeping it within just the two of you, but then that's your own call.

Should I be looking outside my window for Trebs tonight?

Basically I'm in Manchester at some point this week and Trebs wants to meet up for a drink.

And you really want to spend some of that time discussing potential deals?

I think it's great that they'll do some face to face wheeling and dealing.
