If the roooooof is closed then the ball will be greasy with all that hot air in the MS. I really fancy Wales to win this.

Why would a greasy ball suit Wales? You just want Wales to win which is different.

Eh? There is a sea in between the two countries. Slight difference.
On a very rare bright day you can see Wales from parts of Dublin.

Not exactly a vast expanse though is it ? The Irish were just Scots that could swim after all

The alternative was " No wonder all your lot upped sticks to New York" but I figured that might be a bit offensive

What the hell is this place? I think it's a disgrace that 606 are showing bias in hoisting the English colours. There's still two weekends left! Anything could happen.

Don't worry, this one doesn't really count. They only count if the year features at least two 9s in it (e.g. 1990 and 1999).

www.fxbuckley.ie/the-bull-and-castle/ - Big screens, good food and craft beers. They show all the games upstairs. Restaurant downstairs. Probably my favourite.
https://www.samsbar.ie/ - Nice bar but probably a little more expensive. Managed by former Leinster centre Eoin O'Malley so tends to show rugby and host teams.
What part of Dublin will you be in?
Just off O'Connel Street. Done a good reccie yesterday and ended up in the Woodshed. Seems OK and lively. Will check out those two in a bit. Plenty of time..... .thanks guns

IMO, Wales will simply be too strong for Ireland. We have the likes of Ken Owens, Scott Williams, Jonathan Davies and George North in our starting line up and the likes of Gareth Davies and Jamie Roberts on the bench. We should win comfortably tonight, IMO.

Surely every 6 Nations in the 90's?
Still, see you all in 2099 then!

Do Ireland get a complimentary try at the beginning for letting the roof close? Come on, don't be stingy - a little complimentary try between sometime friends and Pro12 arch enemies?

What do you think the thinking is behind us agreeing to the roof being shut? Just to give the welsh no excuses when we hammer them? (Fully expect this to be used against me if we loose)

We can blame the roof.
We can blame Barnes.
We can blame Paddy Wallace....oh no Wayne failed to make that one count.
We can blame Stevie Ferris....Wayne definitely made that one count.
We can blame Friday bloody nights, we never play on a Friday night.

Should be given a 14 point head start with Barnes refereeing.

Most unsporting of the Six Nations crowd. They're trying to rattle us coz they know we have that 'no Friday games' stipulation in our League contract.

Which would mean we'd only lose by 1 point by the end of the game (15-14); - that would be a respectable loss enough under Wayne. I'll take it.

Re: 6N 2017: Wales v Ireland, 10 March
Does anybody know can Scotland overtake Ireland in the rankings this weekend and if so can Ireland (re)overtake Scotland next week by beating England.
Also can Australia be pushed out to 5th in the rankings by both Ireland/Scotland by the end of the 6 Nations?
Ranking permutations can get confusing sometimes.
Thanks

Yes, yes and don't think so.
If Ireland lose and Scotland win then we get a huge boost by beating England. Likewise if Ireland beat England then they get the same boost the following week. Oz I think are too far ahead to be troubled either way, unless there are some insane points scored.

One try for the roof closed, two tries for Barnes, one more for the Friday night fixture? BP already secured...
Re: 6N 2017: Wales v Ireland, 10 March
On the rugby, Wales are due one good 80 min performance this tournament aren't we? England was a good defensive shift for 60 or 70 mins. But could this THE game? We tend to play better the game after a big loss as Edwards gets the whip out and the words 'redemption' are ringing in the ears of the lucky players re-selected. I've read elsewhere that it is apparently doing Scotland a disservice to say that Wales 'had a bad day', but I disagree. There were a lot of unforced errors that could not be attributed to Scotland's great play that day so I think there is definitely room for improvement. We didn't lose while playing awesomely, essentially. And with that rollicking and 2 weeks of practice to put it right I'm getting more and more confident that we could pinch this.
To the pub, I.

100%. This is a good Wales side and they have been strong since 2005. Could well be Ireland's toughest game of the tournament.
