we saw against Ireland how Scotland will fight back. if they can get back ahead before England's subs come on then they will know they can do this.

Absolutely agree with that. Tackle was copybook and there's no way you can expect the player to control the ball carriers momentum from there. Players are going to start getting confused when the way they get taught all their lives is going to be carded. No way he could have adjusted mid air on that tackle, meaning, as tiger says, he needed to apply a softer approach to do so. 'Tackle hard....but perhaps not that hard'...soft.
