There were such evil looking side streets off the main roads... I was expecting a spray of bullets at any moment as I went by them in the cab.

You have to be fairly confident in your mall to call it the Mall of Asia.

Yeah... I was sort of expecting a Disneyland experience. It is huge. You can walk through to the other side to the bay... which looked like a mixture of coffee and oil. I was thinking of Macarthur's men imprisoned on that peninsula to the west... Bataan. I couldn't really see it through the murky polluted air but to be fair it was about 25 miles away.

It is currently the 4th largest shopping mall in the Philippines and the 11th in the world.
Which means the Philippines have 4 of the top 11. They must like their shopping.

I got cramps in my legs just walking around & around in there. I had to sit down once or twice and regather my bearings. A sort of mild panic feeling sets in when you think... didn't I just go past this store half an hour ago? Which way is out? Anyway... I eventually got out in the end; wrong side of course.
