Great run by Kinghorn then handling blows the move

Bit soft that but if there's a mandate on it then fair enough. Wasn't really needed by Weir but the Dragons player has got away with lying all over the ball on their own line!

A penalty at most and even that would have been soft. He hardly touched him!

No need at all. It's soft, but the first one is enough to satisfy a claim for a stamp as it's not rucking backwards.

You know what these mandates are like though - they'll over ref them at the start of the season then completely forget about it a month in!

I'm Feeling very smug about Chris dean now! We have grown into the game but Duncan weir is so frustrating to watch

Good defence from Edinburgh, they seemed comfortable.
Great credit to McCrae who has really added something to the coaching team. A lot of people were not sure about his appointment but he is showing his worth.

I've rated Dean but last season thought he was too slow for 13 - he looks like he's bulked up yet managed to increase his speed and looks much more the part at 13 now.

Completely agree with that.
Hopefully he will have forgotten about it by the second half as it is rubbish and spoils the game. There was no intent there at all, if he was not such as short ar** he would have cleanly stepped over him.
When I played, if you were on the floor on the wrong side then god help you and in many ways it reffed itself, as it was not a pleasant experience!

I love Cockers' honesty in the half time interview - 'I really don't care about the Scotland team!'

Yeah I completely agree, it's been frustrating for me watching knowing what he is capable of and seeing him struggle. Think the coaches can see the potential in him just taken a while to get it out of him.
Kinghorn also looks a different player this year which is exciting

Absolutely, it may not be politically correct but it is completely the right thing to say and do.
He is a rugby man through and through and you can't help but admire him for it.

Note of warning on Kinghorn though - he was fantastic in the first few months last season then pretty crap for the rest of it. He needs consistency!

Ref not liking our ruck technique.
Good point from Colin Gregor - we need to be smarter at when we attack the ruck.

That was very tight but I think a right call - it did look like he just touched the line.
Doesn't help that it is an SRU TMO!
