That's so weak from the ref..... nothing in that whatsoever.
How many captains have Leinster got in the park?.... Ref should tell them to shut up.... can you imagine Owens putting up with this crap?

It's a real shame as I suspect Leinster will pull away now - Cockers will (rightfully) be raging at that decision
It was needless from Ritchie but in no universe is that s yellow.

So how is Sexton tackling round the neck less dangerous than a late tackle round the legs? Shambles.

CDP had to pick that up straight away instead of holding it at the back.

Indeed, even more so when you are a man down. CDP has been a massive disappointment the last couple of years..

The player obstructed wasn't the one that Hardie stepped past.

We're helped by Leinster lineout being a shambles.
Will Davies have the balls to give Edinburgh a match winning penalty if it comes to that? Not confident!

I'm amazed Davies didn't red card Hardie for head butting the Leinster player's knee.

I am watching this game on my mac, with the Scarlets game on the tele.
Tries galore at Stradey, but this game is better.
Edinburgh have been robbed in this game, but welcome to a league of chit refs, who always favour the big Irish three.

Re: Leinster V Edinburgh
Very tough one to take that. It always looks like sour grapes to criticise a ref in defeat but all the major decisions went against Edinburgh and they we're generally all utter horseshit.

I doubt you would get many if any Edinburgh fans who were happy about that refereeing performance.

Not sure Mr Davies will need to pay for a pint of Guinness any time soon!

Re: Leinster V Edinburgh
Just caught up on the first half and it was a really good half from Edinburgh. Johnson caused Leinster a lot of problems, or scrum was solid against 2 Lions, our kicking game and kick chase were excellent and we scrambled well.
A few more ref gripes to add to the list:
The 'tackle' in the air - the ref said blue jumped into the space occupied by red and there was nothing red could do. Why even a penalty then??
After the scrap the ref said number 5 did an open handed strike to the face - that's a yellow card (we've been carded for those in the past).

Re: Leinster V Edinburgh
Just watched the game and you have to say that Edinburgh very unlucky to take nothing from it, they were probably the better side but just lacked the winning nous to take it.
If they keep playing like that though, then some results will certainly come their way.
You have to say the two sevens players, Johnson and Fife both had great games and on that showing, must surely be heading back into the 15 a side game. Quite how they are going to work it, without decimating the sevens squad I don't know though, but that is not going to be their last games for Edinburgh this season for sure.
James Ritchie had another great game as well and was pretty unlucky with the card, probably a penalty but no more than that. He is surely going to be in the Scotland squad this time around, has played well in every game. Plenty of other forwards put up their hands as well. I though all the second rows were good and CDP had his best game of the season as well. It looks like a bit of a squad may be developing.
No shame in losing away to Scarlets and Leinster, we said we wanted performances and we got them. They have now got to back it up with a should win game at home against Zebre next weekend, something they have traditionally struggled with.
That might be a better measure of their progress.
