Part of the magic on a switch to FIFA is that your team isn't as crap anymore! Mine's actually the worst now for overall rating, so I'm fine with a top up of cash to improve mine Wink

Or, we could wait for the reboot and all work from a level playing field.

In seriousness though Trebs are you def in if we go with a FIFA based league for this season using the squads?
I also want to add a caveat to that of if you are in that if for any reason in the league something goes wrong I don't want to see a 'I told you so' or 'I said we should have had a reboot'.
Let's all be Positive Patricks going forward on this rather than Negative Nancys.

I've not checked the rulebook but I'm fairly sure this comment is grounds for being kicked out of the league.

I've made my position very clear, I've pointed out the flaws.

I am a fan of a FIFA league in general but the timing is wrong. So no, I'm not going to commit to being in. I'm committed to a season 2 with the 'traditional' tactics and votes.

Trial isn't finished yet and nor has everyone made a decision on its success.

Also is there a link to watch back the match between myself and Bam?

Not sure what you gain or lose by opting out.

You may well be right, but it is only a game and the worse that can happen is that you are proved right.

You've got to admit it has roused people's enthusiasm

I think it's different, and for that reason alone it's worth exploring.

not sure why trebs is so against it, when he has such a strong side.  can't be the tactics side of things surely, not with such a small amount of words available - not digging anyone out, it's hard with a limit but I can't do another 20 weeks of reading "show the man the line" "alternate which one pushes forward" etc etc

Trebs team is likely to have more success via FIFA than tactics but I expect him to be one of the front runners in both with that team.

What we can do is keep the team on anyway with generic tactics, still gives people games each week to watch and someone like Nadz may want it.

Trebs being a mourinho by trying to stick with ineffective tactics of the past whilst Guardiola teabags him at every opportunity.

Watched the Marky v Bam game and Hero v Miky first game.

One thing that is clear from those, and mine and Ollys game, is that squad depth is much more important. Before substitutions had minimal impact. Now when subs are made the quality coming on is a big drop from the player being replaced and the difference is noticeable.

Also subs could be a bit random. Miky’s best player (in that game in particular) was taken off really early for some reason.

Hope Mrs Hero is fine!

Looking at these ratings, is the overall rating the average of the 3? Trebs, Miky and Nando look favourites based on that

I'm more keen to go with FIFA than another season of the path we're on....not just because it gives me an artificial leg-up...I signed who I signed cus I thought they would be rated anyway.

it's a fair bit of leg-work for you though

I'm all fine workload in regards to fifa etc, for anything else though others could do with doing.
Main thing I request is squad lists show who the player is with in RL, and if a player is sold can it be back to that club on the confirmation page just so it makes it a lot easier to find that player if needed again.

I would like it if we could have a Top Scorer/Assist league this time round, before there wasn't any point to it but now it does actually happen in game etc.
I'll personally be adding player rating scores to my team page after each game and I wondered if this something we could do collectively and have a team of the week? Again it's not necessary but these little things I think help discussion and length of the league.

I'm not willing to take part in the fifa league is the straight answer.

I would do season 2 as planned in a tactics style league. And have a fifa run cup competition of some sort on the side.

After that, reboot teams and go forward in a fully fifa league. Fifa 19 will probably be out around then anyway.

Because I don't think its right to shift the goalposts in such a dramatic way when plans for season 2 have been made on the basis of it being a tactics league.
