It's one for Miky to clarify I think.

Rules say he needs to be in the youth squad for 3 months. He was there for 1 and a bit before going on loan, so after the loan does he carry on from 1 and a bit months or start over?

Or as you're saying, did the 3 months carry on despite him going out on loan?

IRL the contract still runs down while out on loan, just think the breaking it up makes it over-complicated and difficult to police

I'd agree with that, on the premise that...

Afro wrote:It can't work that way Twist, otherwise there is a loophole on the youth rules, as you buy, loan out and buy another and you can have in theory infinite number of youth players.

...the loaned out player would still keep his place in your youth squad so it can't be used to sign extra youth players.

it's limited to 15 isn't it the youth squad?

when you get to the end of the loan and you have excess you'd have to release..BUT according to the rules for the youthie to get a TM value he needs to have played, so no advantage really in harvesting more players, as once they've played they're no longer youthies

Anyone think it would be possible to add draws into predictions? But the only way a game could be a draw is if it's 1-1-1 or 0-3-0?

I don't get the 0-3-0 bit?

Only way I can see it being a draw is D-D-D or W-L-D (in any order)

Personally I like no draws - people need to make a decision then. I think a draw is a good cop out option for not looking at tactics and putting anything.

And my first RL move - Good old Yerry!

Now I just hope Barca sell CB's and play Yerry or they have an injury crisis.

Fecks me over with the Arthur transfer though - Barca can't have any more non-euros. Might have got off lightly Olly (but then you did nab Malcom - praying that RL move never happens as I would be peed off)

The option for draws often results in too many draws as people fence sit.

Yep agreed but the only way there'd be a draw is if it was unanimously agreed or in the Frak situation where three people come to different conclusions (in which case it probably should be a draw)

I can see where you are coming from Treb's and the chances of draws resulting are still low.

However, as Twist and Hero mentioned, one of the main reason for not having draws is to remove fence sitting by taking the draw option away. I can how your proposal would work, but it doesn't remove the chance of fence sitting

I see your point, but by not having a draw option we've eliminated the chances of that happening, personally I prefer a definitive result even if I'm on the wrong end

Only way I see draws working is in this situation.....

2 voters (or an even number). Still the same situation that a decision on a result has to be made. If one goes W and the other goes L then it is a draw (if 2 voters).

I think this is fairer than giving people the option to pick a draw result.

Four voters would be best with a 2-2 situation being the draw. But that's something to consider for next season.

Hope this helps with mafia - not got the time to play today, but could try to arrange it soon. The night time phase is conducted via PM.

As for the Azzrentice, it's just the apprentice but with Lord Azzy instead of Lord Sugar. I think Afro and possibly even Nick Fury filled in the position in the past. It's good fun, but would need to commitment over a couple of weeks. I'd be happy to run that if we got the numbers.

Ah well, if you don't try these things you don't know. Considering Afro didn't target Silva at all in his tactics (if I remember rightly) means you can pretty much copy and paste tactics each week as long as you are playing people in the right positions. Your opponent becomes meaningless. It was the wrong thing to do but in the end I didn't expect a win anyway. Might as well try something new when you expect to lose than trying it on games which you have a chance with.

I didn't specifically target Silva, but more your 3 in midfield as the combined threat. But that is more specifically in this instance. If I didn't view the other two as a threat, I would have specifically targeted Silva.

My midfield is alright. Had trouble picking it this week.

Once Arthur gets his move (fingers crossed), I can play the tika-taka formation I wanted to play. Been toying with doing it anyway as a diamond....Silva at the top of course
