Re: Ireland WC
Wet weather predicted - you need solidity at the back and that's not Larmour - think I'd go with Conway to be honest even if he hasn't played there for a while he is great with the ball in the air. Time to get Addison over as well, now their dropping like flies- although he can't train or stay with the squad on arrival for the price of an air fare and a few nights in a premiere inn Ireland will have a replacement on tap and not have to deal with someone just stepping off the plane to make his first play in the Japan game

?
Dropping like flies?
Henshaw - still in camp despite injury, suggests he has a future part to play in this WC.
Indeed, new news suggests Kearney may be able to play against Scotland after all. Only a supposition at this point.
Addison meanwhile, has become the new Zebo by all accounts. The ghostly shadow hovering over the squad. The repeated chants of Addison, Addison, Addison ringing in Joe's ear regardless of where he looks or how he tries to avoid the name.
Healy gets injured - "Time to get Addison on the plane!!!"

Earls?
Carberry? I know he's training but the injury profile amongst the backs is not good before a ball is kicked- forward power might do it against the Scots but its worrying no?

Re: Ireland WC
I was thinking Carbury might be a good option at 15, I think Joe will go with Larmour though.

Re: Ireland WC
I reckon it will be either Larmour or Conway, Probably Larmour.

Re: Ireland WC
Sorry of this has already been discussed but hasn't schmidt indicated a chance of Ringrose at 15?

Did he? I thought he was covering wing. You might be right though.

Sounds like Kearney isn't ruled out yet?

Re: Ireland WC
One injury to Kearney and suddenly Schmidt is having to play a rookie Ringrose at 15? No chance. Larmour is the cover and with Stockdale and Conway on the pitch, either would still be ahead of Garry. Henshaw had played at 15 plenty and found it hard to slot back in the 6N, so intending to play Ringrose there would be complete madness.
Schmidt made the mistake of selecting an unfit Carbery in the squad but compensated by picking an extra back at the expense of a prop. Given Carbery was picked with a view he might not be available until the KOs and with recent injury doubts over Henshaw, Kearney, Earls, Sexton and Murray, surely Joe & Andy must have made plans to field a viable backline for Ireland's most important Pool game... mustn't they?

Schmidt doesnt usually start guys that have just come back from injury though does he. Id say Carbery will be on the bench at best.

Re: Ireland WC
The report was that Carbery had started training, but it didn't say he was fit and available for selection - he could still be some way from match ready.
