The Trump Presidency
First topic message reminder :
Yes... and also the fact that he has just a touch of olde worlde charm (probably brutally drummed into him from the NY Military Academy) despite his apparently frightening unpredictability in this day and age.
Galted wrote:Pal Joey wrote:Just between us few on here... I have a feeling the Queen likes Trump.
Don't ask me to explain why but their body language seemed to be in a sort of comfortable harmony when they stood beside each other in June or whenever it was. And I think he quite likes all of that pomp and ceremony... as someone who likes being the centre of attention would.
He's a cross between a court jester and a village idiot so she would love him. Probably lets him run round the grounds with the corgis.

To be fair to the guy, maybe he's better at doing than speaking? That level of inarticulate drivel isn't going to help him though, if he is confirmed as the candidate.

Biden makes Trump sound Saintly.
That's mild stuff from the Biden hair-sniffing, ear whispering, child touching archives. At least he's only waffling on that occasion.
It'll be a very interesting Presidential race indeed if he makes it through as the Democrat's candidate. Lots of explaining to do, Joe..., in public, on air, on many subjects.
More entertaining than 2016? Tough one to follow but could be.

Biden telling blue collar workers in a swing state they are full of ****...is par for the course.
Going to need a spin exercise bigger than Reagan after Hinckley Jr...If he is to win in November..
Like Reagan he is gone in the head....Unlike Reagan he hasn't got a stiff like Mondale to play with...
DNC desperately trying to get Sanders to quit before their 2 hour debate Sunday, who can blame them ??...and although he got shellacked North Dakota and Washington are an excuse to stay in the game....Stay in it Bernie.
Biden...Dead Man walking.

Pretty sure it was one worker, who was, indeed, full of s**t, wasn't it? You're probably correct though - Trump can talk utter bollox (and nasty bollox too - think puss!es), but anyone else? That's a valid point, albeit I suggest that Biden was addressing the specific claims of the one worker and depends on what's said to the hypothetical black person i.e. racial slur = racist, non-racial insult/criticism = non-racist. I don't disagree it'll be used against Biden and he should know better. Still, that's the atmosphere in US politics now.

Didn't know he was in Vermont last week...
You can hide him against Sanders who is a nice guy...But a Presidential Election is something else...

It's absolutely unreal that we're likely going to have a presidential election between two candidates that can't speak in full sentences.

The ban only applies to the Schengen countries, so even if the UK were still members of the EU, the UK wouldn't be affected by the ban.

Has there been any explanation of that decision? In the same way that a Rugby game was held at this weekend between France and Scotland and yet now closed door games are considered best policy - or postponements even better.
So to use your analogy, it might be a case of 'Help, there's a burglar in my house. Quick lock the door before the rest of his mates get in!'
Or..... it's politics at work, messages being given obliquely. Politics never stops.

Even before we see the barrage of Biden-dementia ads flooding the media.. Trump looks good in the swing States of Florida and Wisconsin...
Means Biden needs to win Michigan...Pennsylvania and Ohio...
Certainly within the realms of possibility but it's a big ask nevertheless..
Coronavirus may help or hinder....Yes Trump is the village idiot but he still has all his faculties and an idiot is probably more suitable than a Zombie.
Forget a full first term can Biden make it till November ???...
Shame to see such a beatable twonkish President being given a golden ticket into the Wonka factory...

Trump down to 39% approval in latest poll with the negative fallout from the slow response to the virus....Last President to poll like that in re-election year was Carter and he lost..
Should be in serious trouble the terrible tangerine.
However Democrats united back in Carter's day after the primary..
Good news for Trump is Sanders supporters are breaking..
Biden 76%
Trump 10%
None of the above..14%..
As Sanders would get 10m+ votes should he stay in the race the whole way..
That's close to 3m at the moment of Lefties that usually fall in line boycotting the Election...
Plus Biden is a walking disaster......
Interesting times.

Re: The Trump Presidency
I see the latest propaganda from China is that the virus didnt start there but actually in the US but the Americans have covered it up and reported thier previous Coivd cases as just seasonal flu.
I'm not saying the chinese are right, but it is the kind of thing the yanks would come up with!
Theres still something very sinister in the background to all this. there's something we're not being told!
Tin foil hat on everyone!
I'm not saying the chinese are right, but it is the kind of thing the yanks would come up with!
Theres still something very sinister in the background to all this. there's something we're not being told!

I found it odd that after ONE case a big thing was made of it.

Duh. If it was potentially a new xenobiotic transfer to man, of course a big thing was made of it after a single confirmation.
There's lots we aren't being told/don't know. It is not because of some nonsense that's more at home in a Stephen King book.

Contradictory. An opinion of course, but contradictory. There is lots we aren't being told/don't know. But, for you, none of it is bordering on Stephen King stuff.
Hmmm. How can you be so certain - if there is a bunch of stuff that we're not being told? What kind of things aren't we being told? Why aren't we being told? If it was Stephen King stuff, would we be told? Do scientific labs across the Globe toy around with dangerous toxins, dangerous germs, dangerous viruses - dangerous vaccines? Who funds them?
Well let's ask Mr Worldly 'Philantrophist', Bill Gates, who has just coincidentally removed himself from the board of Microsoft and is renowned for being a champion of using blanket Global vaccination programs to at one time improve the health of young people AND also help decrease the world's population.
His philantrophic foundation was also a central player in a strange filmed 'simulation' exercise in October 2019, called Event 201, that presented a scenario of what might happen in a world pandemic situation.
How timely!
First speaker: "The scenario you are presented with this morning could easily become (nervous cough) one shared reality one day. I fully expect that we will be confronted by a fast moving, highly lethal pandemic of a respiratory pathogen."
You don't say? How timely.
Near five hours of that exercise continues. Part of which deals with how Governments intend suppressing 'misinformation' put out by entities that believe the virus was introduced maliciously. So in other words..... in this pre-China outbreak 2019 simulation, the pandemic task force preempt cynicism and downright Stephen King stuff being thrown at them. But they don't intend to allow it exist for long. Arrests follow. So belief that we're being had or knowingly infected is considered crime in this simulation... six weeks before China.
Now ain't that weird? How timely.
Go look it up. Gates facilitated Event 201 - only six weeks before an actual allegedly real surprise outbreak of such a virus in China. And here we are, discussing real scenarios that perhaps implicate rogue groupings or malicious Governments in releasing a virus knowingly upon the world. And already...at least here in Ireland, we have Government ministers and experts tripping over themselves to warn people against listening to misinformation in social media.... often when way out of context so that it feels prepared and planned.
What a bizarre world we're living in. Getting more Alice in Wonderland by the day. The real world of the last four years is infinitely more scary, surreal and bizarre than any crap in a Stephen King book.

He's in an election year with honking ratings and this could be his only way to win!
