Are you still skiving off any real form of employment?
Oh god, Shah. Forgot about that sociopath. The only person I have ever met who made terrorism sound fun.
Well, I am not back in the city thankfully. Have a couple of things on the go and Mrs Windows was (before the plague arrived) doing pretty well with her business but essentially, I am a "in between employment". If this filthy virus hangs around, then I will run out of money soon enough. I surprised myself just how much I enjoyed being a stay at home dad. Especially the hours between 09:00 and 15:00. It has become more troublesome over recent weeks .
How is the cut and thrust of ruining peoples lives in corporate law? And have you unearthed and destroyed any more centipede nests recently?

We're down to 4 day weeks for the next 3 months - I'm fine with that as means that I have at least one day a week where I don't have to juggle being a teacher and child minder with trying to do work that you can actually charge a client for.
I found some centipedes last week when I was tidying up the garden near the garage. Scooped them up and put them inside the garden waste bin. Also discovered some huge spiders when I was clearing out the garage - christ knows what they've been living on but they were bloody massive.

What's Mrs Window's business? Following her experiences with Jules, I'm assuming that she went into business escorting older gentleman.

I'd love that. She has missed the old wizard since self isolation came into effect.
She makes bespoke wedding dresses and evening gowns and does alterations/repurposing etc etc. She used to do just a few a year when I was working but took it up full time when I had my mid life crisis/tantrum and quit. She was doing ok with it and we converted an old derelict barn into a workshop but other than stuff that is already on order, new business has literally stopped! People don't appear to be getting married or having parties anymore.
I also own a very small part of a wine importing business. I lent a mate some money when he was just starting out and took a small percentage of the business rather than him paying me back. That business is now on its arse as well given the trouble shipping stuff around the world. So it this virus stuff carries on much longer I am going to have to pimp myself out for cash.

You could escort older gentlemen.
You'd like to hope that both businesses will get back on their feet relatively quickly after this all ends.

Fist of fury.
Apparently repeatedly kneeing a keening finnish woman in the throat and stamping on her head during the act of taking her virginity warrants expulsion from heaven. All the years of murder torture and bombings and showing marvellous restraint by only headbutting the other seventy one count for nothing. So i have been sent back to earn my place once again. Although I am rather glad that Tino is alive, somehow his being beaten up and being forced to model wedding dresses for the entirety of my absence takes the sting out of losing 72 virgins.

I'm still not dead but can one of the mods please check my account and make sure I am not Shah as well. To much of a coincidence, even though I am fairly sure I am not a racist/terrorist/shoe bomber.
The last post on the boxing thread was the 4th April! The 4th April! What the f*ck! Where is Chris? I used to like reading his stuff even though I needed 8 sittings due to my poor attention span.
I am currently doing some home schooling with one of the kids. An online PE lesson. We are watching great cricket catches which is pretty cool. Keiron Pollard has just pulled off a beauty. One handed, right on the boundary. Lovely stuff. Then we have to go in the garden and try to do some catches ourselves. I literally bought a new bat in January ready for the new season. This is the first time I can swing it in anger due to this sh*thouse virus. I am going to blast some f*cking angry slip catches at her in a minute.

Thanks for the congratulations, he's two and a half so it has been a while. He's very anti-sensible clothing so I might have to start beating him with a belt at some stage.

Hi Dolphin, Julius, Tino, Sean, PJ, Superfly and Guildford Bat.
Galted as a man well versed in raising children i would warn you belt marks leave you liable to prosecution, ask our resident experts in law for further confirmation. Best way to discipline a child is to smear nutella on the plug and cable of a full kettle of ice cold water and leave the cable dangling off the end of a high table. This gives you time to go out for a while and the ice bath reduces how long the bruises last on the child. Also in a worst case scenario your absence would deflect any legal repercussions onto Galtova leaving you free to order in Galtova II plus.

Hope all is well and you manage to get away for a quiet weekend on the continent once this thing blows over.

Took the car out for a nice wash, wax and polish today. The new owner (there's been about 5 'new owners' in the last 2 years) asked if I'd been here before. They did a great job it must be said.

Can't remember when you ducked out of regularly being on here, but the boxing section has been on life support for a long time. Think it was a contribution of a number of things that led to decent posters giving up - every thread turning into a Floyd v Manny dick swinging contest, almost every fight being on PPV, the increasing gaps between decent fights, Joshua calling out people that fight like Gloria Hunniford.
Truss hardly posting any new articles on there also contributed - I didn't often agree with him, but his articles definitely created traffic. He now seems strangely obsessed with polling numbers.

That's a shame. Poor old Windy will be turning in his grave. I assume the Captain isn't around any more? That board used to be the standard bearer till the cretins took over.
Truss always loved his polling numbers. That and awful trousers.
I would post something but I barely watch it anymore other than old 90's fights on t'internet. Not sure the board is ready for a Nigel Benn quit against Steve Collins thread. Although that may tempt Shenglong out of his hole. Actually, I won't bother.
I have been listening to Gerry Cinnamon a fair bit over the last couple of years, 'fly. I thought Scots were only good for mindless violence and heart disease but it appears you can also do some nice, inoffensive guitar music as well (Jeff would f*cking hate it). I do love the repeated bad language he employs in his lyrics. And I also like how happy he looks every time he is playing. Looks like he still can't believe he is earning money playing a guitar rather than selling weed.

I've heard a few of his songs but I've reached the age where I can't trust myself with new music. It's a short hop skip and jump from nodding along to Gerry Cinnamon to driving to the shops with the windows open belting out George Ezra songs at the top of my voice. I'd rather they just took me straight to Dignitas.
My dad went from being a huge Stones fan in the 60's and 70's, to listening almost exclusively to Rod Stewart in the 80's to eventually going to a Westlife concert. A chilling descent into madness. I should have smothered him with a pillow in his sleep when he told me he was going.

Ffs.
Forgot how one needs to keep on top of quoting with Tino about.
It's a small consolation that you ended with an 'l*l' instead of an 'lol out loud'.

VE Day fist.
Apparently our 4th warmest autumn day since 1858.
Had a nice pie and coffee with my Mum on a bench in a park at St Ives around lunchtime. We watched a border collie run with it's glossy long coat filtering the sun's rays in between the white strands of hair. What a delightful sight it was on an almost perfect day.

Evening Jules.
Was (Not Was) intended. We lost a few great ones this week. Still grieving over Greenfield and Schneider.
Just realised you're having a Bank Holiday today. No wonder it's quieter than usual.
