Music Section Morning Tea Society
Pal Joey wrote:Galted wrote:alfie wrote:A nice try by Galted and his shark to reinvigorate this thread ; but judging by the last six day's work I am beginning to suspect my ill-advised attempt to stick my head in has effectively killed it : apologies all round
Of course PJ and Tino (maybe he really was eaten by a bear ?) seem to be missing so perhaps all is not lost yet ...
Rick's the one with the shark, I've got a cat.
Tino often dies but I'm starting to worry about PJ, hope he hasn't been eaten by a wombat.
I did get cornered in the garden but I managed to negotiate my release with the offer of some old carrots... which I just happened to have in my pockets at the time.
I was warned, however, to make sure I brought fresh broccoli next time... or else.
Bit disturbing, I think PJ's mind's been taken over by a Ophiocordyceps unilateralis. This one likes broccoli.

I'd be a bit wary about comments like that, as much fun as it is to mock the backward ways and primitive shoes of the men of the north, a lot of them are shamens and serial killers.

L*l.
I've become quite the fan of electricity since coming sarf. Just don't like the people, the climate, the food or the fact people use a toilet rather than taking a p*ss in their sink.
Not sure if I ever mentioned my Scottish landlord of a couple of decades ago vomiting his Tennents Super into the sink and then passing out. He went apesh*t a couple of days later because no-one would touch the dirty dishes.

Fist I've heard of it.
Did he drop by your place (your sink) or were you visiting his place (his sink)? Hope it's not the first one.
Would have been awful having his body lying almost lifeless on your kitchen floor and then having to step over him when you needed to dump more plates into the sink.
p.s.
That Ophiocordyceps unilateralis thing is pretty opportunistic, isn't it? At least the ant won't get so wet when it rains.

The Scots are just awful. They make Men of the Noth look cultured. GRR Martin knew what he was doing when he used the Scots as inspiration for the wildlings.
The sooner Alex Salmond pushes through their independence, the better.

Thanks, Galted. Feel a little better now.

I briefly met Alex Salmond once, he was a guest at one of the Law Balls in Glasgow, I think supes was probably too cool for that S**t though.

I briefly met Alexei Sayle once, he was a guest at one of the Law Balls in Dundee, I think the lesser super was possibly too up himself for that kind of humour though.

Last I heard he was living about 50 miles south of me. In the Gong. Teaching I think. Not sure what's happened. He may even be back in the UK... getting harassed by the neighbourhood kids on the commons.
And I think Raf could be in Gladstone still. Probably running the whole show whatever he's doing.

I've got to nip to The Adsa later, my mate is a security guard there, I will get on cameras, though I will probably just see someone shi**ing in an aisle somewhere, which may or may not be Flipper

A lot of them around unfortunately.
Almost got harangued by some middle-aged Falun Gong last weekend near Chinatown. Was with brother and Mum. They were everywhere harassing people and asking for donations. My brother cheekily told them in Mandarin "No, not good!". Freaked them out because they're mostly all Cantonese speaking southerners.
At the same time, I half 'befriended' a middle aged woman with bad teeth so I had to sign the protest form. I gave a fake name, suburb and contact number... and then told her "to be careful... there are northern agents everywhere, all around... filming our conversations." So I managed to break away from the pack. Mum avoided contact... she just smiled in agreement with their plight... but was already halfway up George St.
There were heaps more of them around Town Hall. So brazen! They've taken over the place...
It was right near where the pro-Pals were demonstrating in greater numbers the other day. Some really nasty horrible types on megaphones with your average pasty, ill-informed pimply student types hovering around the back edges. Think they (the hard core and their sheila wives) were also collecting donations to support the terrorists back home.

This is all too soon. I really didn't have Superfly down as a boy band member.
Does explain all his celebrity anecdotes though. My favourite being his sister getting bummed by one of The Proclaimers. That zinger had a midget involved as well but I can't recall in what capacity.

Be funny if Hamas had hacked into the IDF's computers and he was watching their activity only to see himself appear. I'm sure that's how it'll appear if Israel make a film about it, though it will probably be Netanyahu throttling him rather than death by tank.
