Morning, glorious sunny day here today
Feel like an honorary michaels for a day... turf, gonads. No birds or chips as yet though.
Left a suggestion on the golf thread. BlueCoverman is asking about travel destinations quoting Cyprus and Turkey. Could be a military flash point. So I suggested Ladakh where India and China are having their latest border dispute. Failing that... why not Taiwan or even better - the Spratley Islands?

What's that name of that island in the Bay of Bengal where the local tribe routinely kills anyone that tries to land on the island? Tell him there's a pitch and putt course and that the locals are very welcoming.

Come on guys, let's have a tribute from one of you on the Film thread. Thanks in advance.
I'm about to add my own to Alan Minter on the boxing board.

I am not sure how i could do her much justice, GB, i would just chuck in how she almost made me go blind during my formative years.
I'd probably do better with Minter TBH.
Friday f***ing fist.

Have you been watching the tennis?
I was tired and sore yesterday after laying the turf on Wednesday but I loaded up on a few shots of cranberry juice (this morning) and a multi-vitamin. I also took a separate vitamin D... just to fend off any potential coronavirus... even though I haven't been in crowded public places recently.

Yes, it's a different tennis world these days.
Think Zverev and Medvedev will play in the final... maybe Thiem? Not seen much of Busta.
Without sounding mean I'm glad Serena's out. I'd rather see Osaka win than Aza... she's too noisy.

Cheers, rIck. Such a shame. It was so good with Windy at the front and the other regulars then.

Re: Music Section Morning Tea Society
It was, for a while, the best thing about these boards. It's been discussed a few times on the boxing board, but the board's demise echoes the demise of the sport itself. I used to watch at least 3 or 4 fights a week and now I can't even remember the last fight I watched live. Matchroom and Sky Sports chasing after the casual boxing fan at the expense of those with a genuine love for the sport have ruined boxing in this country.

It was the reason I came on here from the old 606 boxing boards.
I still watch a lot of boxing, but supes has a very valid point.

And keeping a metre apart. I assume that means for the viewers from each other, and the performers from the viewers?
And what about if the performers are not from the same bubble? They should really be social distancing as well.
Maybe they could perform through the medium of mine? That would still do it for me.

I assume that's a typo and you meant "medium of mime". "Medium of mine" sounds like a euphimism for w*nking.

It was indeed a typo but if you're going to make one, that is up there with the best.
I could use the medium of mime to demonstrate the medium of mine.

Not in full force, peej, certainly not as restrictive as when this first kicked off, or indeed when Bradford went into special measures but hopefully enough to throttle things down.
It is like the weather knows when you are restricted, as it is particularly lovely here today.
How are you guys doing?

Going well thanks. Life is pretty much normal here and we've had very nice weather too.
It's steadily getting warmer though which is the signal for bugs and critters of all descriptions to congregate in large public gatherings and long marches en masse... unlike us humans. Think I saw an ant carrying a placard even... but it may have only been half a dried leaf.

I suspect that it was an ant carrying a placard stating death to all humans, as that seems to be the general idea for all the fauna, and some flora to be fair.
I think we are going to get a second wave, my good friend is in the NHS and they have had leave cancelled before Christmas in expectation of a second big wave.

I thought of you this morning Glated. I had sliced banana and blueberries with Greek yoghurt for breakfast. Seemed like the sort of thing you would have.
I normally have proper manly breakfasts like Shredded Wheat or Weetabix but changed it up today.

Thanks for thinking of me when you're doing something a bit gay, Tino.
I normally eat whatever jr refuses to so breakfast often consists of crusts.
I had coffee in the end, in case anyone's wondering.
