SPL and EPL Sub Sections
Does anybody know why the SPL get sub sections for Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee etc ?
Also why doesn't the EPL get sub sections for Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bolton etc ?
I think this site needs to include EPL sub sections for each team.
I was just trying to look through the Villa posts to see if what I was about to post had already been posted but I have to look pages of posts to find them, which is frustrating to say the least.
In the SPL section you have a choice to either post at the SPL level or in a sub level related to a team. I think this needs to be done for the EPL as there will soon be loads of posts regrading new transfers, managers, fixture lists etc.
Does anyone else agree with me or am I alone in thinking this ?

Re: SPL and EPL Sub Sections
It used to have seperate sections, which put me off as there wasn't really much being posted in the main PL section.
I've only posted in the Football section since it was changed to how it is now.

Isn't that because Dundee aren't in the SPL.Dr Gregory House MD wrote:erictheblueuk wrote:Does anybody know why the SPL get sub sections for Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee etc ?

I think there should be seperate sections for Premiership clubs, it would make it easier to find relevant threads.

Re: SPL and EPL Sub Sections
We did have separate sections for every club going but football wasn't our strongest section so to encourage debate (and that for the most part we're a friendly bunch that are happy for cross club chat) we dropped it down to one section per league (Scottish Prem was an oversight).
If it picks up in football we would look at returning it back to individual clubs if it was preferred.

Mate, if you're not sure it has been posted, just post it anyway, somebody will point out if it's been posted before and will be merged with the original thread, no problem!
I prefer myself without the split into teams and it stifles debate and means there is very little cross-club chat as fans of other teams claim that only their fans can comment in their own sections.

I preffered it too. I was only on the Chelsea board and as it's the off season there oh dear all to talk about, I much prefer the single section for the whole league.

I'm surprised football is not the strongest section, out of curiosity which is?

Re: SPL and EPL Sub Sections
Boxing, golf and tennis are our three biggest sections. Rugby Union and cricket are also growing and are on a par with football on post count.
I prefer to have the board as it is now, it encourages debate and that has been apparent since the teams were removed!

Out of curiosity where does American Football rank?
Re: SPL and EPL Sub Sections
Is that because there are other forums that concentrate entirely on football or is it because the football season has finished and alot of people on here are more interested in the sports happening now.Enforcer wrote:Boxing, golf and tennis are our three biggest sections. I think it's a mixture of both BH, I think the football section will only grow once the season kicks back in!

Re: SPL and EPL Sub Sections
I just thought they brought all the sections together at the end of the season and would them back when it kicks off again next year. There's not much club talk apart from transfers at the moment

Re: SPL and EPL Sub Sections
I would like to see all football posts available on one forum and then again under sub sections like the leagues and then by the clubs too.

Re: SPL and EPL Sub Sections
Unfortunatly, I don't think that's possible with the forum we are currently using. I suggest a PM to one of the admins (Hero is your best option) and asking him, he'll be able to confirm it.

I think quite a lot went to club specific websites, but that was only when I read the Liverpool section of 606.

Re: SPL and EPL Sub Sections
I doubt the majority did to be honest, you need to join a multi team board to keep up to scratch with all the goings on, i used 606 for football and wrestling, need to find a busy football board for the start of the season to go with this
